RFD-TV

For those of you who watch our shows on RFD-TV I'm sure you are aware by now that RFD-TV has chosen to cancel Heart to Heart Classics and The BlueHighways Jam from their schedule. We want everyone to know this was a decision made solely by RFD-TV. The Gospel Sampler and The Best of Reno's Old Time Music Festival remain with some small schedule changes; after being moved for 2-months, again a move made by RFD-TV without prior knowledge to BlueHighways TV, we're happy to say that Reno's Old Time Music Festival show is back in its 8pm EST time slot on Saturday nights.

In the meantime, we will be replaying some fan favorite episodes of The Gospel Sampler and The Best of Reno's Old Time Music Festival the next 2-months on RFD-TV.

On Reno's Old Time Music Festival, Tashia Harris is featured starting January 9th followed by episodes with Alissa & Ramona Jones and The Dillards.

Recipe
Hoppin' John
from Harley

Here's a tasty New Years treat! It is supposed to bring good luck for the up-coming year...we all need good luck right?

There are many things that are thought to bring you luck... black eyed peas are thought to bring you coins; pigs are lucky because they symbolize prosperity (So don't forget to add the bacon); Cook up a mess of turnip or collard greens on the side to represent folded money; and serve with corn bread which is thought to be a symbol of GOLD!

Ingredients
3 cans black-eyed peas
2-1/2 cups water
1/2 lb. bacon, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 dashes of Tabasco (more may be added if needed)
Cajun Seasoning to taste
1/2 cup raw rice

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
