Red Steagall and Texas Cowboy Poets Star On Brownwood Television Cable Channel 36 – BlueHighways TV
Hendersonville, TN - BlueHighways TV, the nationwide cable channel devoted to roots music, cross country adventure travel and Americana culture will air a special Texas episode of America's Backroads called "Sourdough, Beefsteak and Beans"
on Wednesday, May 13th at 6:00 and 9:00 pm Central. BlueHighways TV is carried on Brownwood Television Cable Service channel 36.
The hour-long BlueHighways TV episode is hosted by Red Steagall, Cowboy Poet of the State of Texas and features the music and poetry of the west against the backdrop of an1800s chuck wagon campfire. "There is nothing like this anywhere on
television!" says Red Steagall. " It presents an authentic picture of this prairie night gathering complete with cowboy poetry, tall tales and song." Look for renowned cowboy poets and musicians: Don Edwards, Joel Nelson, Larry McWhorter,
Waddie Mitchell, J.F. Allen, Buck Ramsey and Red Steagall with his Coleman County Cowboys.
Jerry Kirklin, General Manager of Brownwood Television Cable Service, made BlueHighways TV the newest channel to his system's line-up in April, and has been getting positive response from his subscribers. "There is a love for the roots
music of Bluegrass, Classic Country, Gospel and even the old-time rock ‘n' roll," says Kirklin. "And BlueHighways TV offers several programs such as Texas County Line (Tuesdays at 7:30 pm) and Due West (Monday at 6:30 a and 9:30
pm) that showcase our Western culture to the nation."
On Wednesday, May 20th America's Backroads will air another Texas based episode, "Austin Music Scene" at 6:00 and 9:00 pm Central, in what is starting out to be a very busy month for the state on BlueHighways TV!
