New this month on BlueHighways TV On Demand is a brand new episode of American Journeys
that takes a look into traditional Native American methods of horse training. This special episode entitled "The Medicine Wheel Model to Horsemanship" uses the philosophy of the traditional medicine wheel as a model to work
with the horse using the four colors, the four directions, the stages of life and behaviors that come with each stage. This non-confrontational model helps you find the center, stay balanced and to help create a well-balanced horse.

Look for new episodes from one of our most popular series from the American Jukebox Theater. Let your memories travel back along the blue highways
listening to the radio and hearing such classic rock-n-roll music from the 50's and 60's such as Yakety Yak, Sincerely, Get a Job and so many more.
February also marks the debut on Video On Demand of our new classic Texas music
series called Texas County Line. In the first two episodes share some great memories with Ray Price, classic footage from Willie Nelson in the 1960's and visit the annual Heart of Texas Records concert in Brady, TX.

MY BOOK IS DONE
by Stan Hitchcock
I've spent the last 8 years writing my recollections and memories of 50 years spent in music and entertainment. I thought it was important
for me to leave a record for my family of what I was and where I had been in my life, but as time went by it became more about the music and the music makers than about me. As the adventures poured out of my heart and mind it seemed like
I couldn't write them down fast enough. After all, I had been fortunate enough to make a career for myself in an industry that was just starting to explode in the 50's and 60's and I got to see it happen from 1959 until today, January
29th 2009.
Today, my book was sent to the Publishing Company to be printed and bound with all the stories and pictures of my life in music. It is full of pictures of music friends that have never been shown.

NOTE:
Listen to the first song I wrote, back in 1962, when I was recording for Epic Records. "Slip Up And She'll Slip Away", a hard country tear jerker with some great steel guitar played by the Late Hal Rugg, and the fiddles of Buddy Spicher
and Johnny Gimble.

My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me
by Bob Bilyeu
I recently ran across the old hymn, "My Heavenly Father Watches over Me." That sentiment is easy to believe when things are going well, but it can be a
real challenge when we are faced with trials and tragedy. Such thoughts led me to remember my father's stories about facing the drought and depression days of the 1930's. My father, Hosea Bilyeu, told many of those stories in his
segments on "The Old Country Church," but his story that impressed me most about trusting God, he was somehow reluctant to share. I think he was afraid that people would think he was somehow trying to glorify himself instead of God.

Valentines Old and Young
It Will Be A Very Happy Valentines Day All Around In Our Family.
by Denise Hitchcock
The day before Valentines Day my father, Duane, will be coming home from a month long stay in hospitals and rehab centers. It is the longest he
and my mother, Marci have been apart. Marci's Valentines treat to Duane is always a nice homemade dinner, but this year it will probably include a fluffed-up feather bed and some extended cuddling, they both are so small they often sit
together in the same recliner! Duane will not have a Valentines gift for Marci, but that does not matter, she never has wanted cards, flowers or candy. Every year she asks for him to write her a love note, and he will have enough time on
February 13th to pen one. I've never seen the notes, but I know that he has written them every year as long as I can remember. I imagine them tied up in a pink ribbon bundle, but knowing my family I should probably look for them in a
shoebox.

…..thoughts on the blessing of friendship
Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and
sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~Dinah Craik
