Story from Stan

GOING HOME, AGAIN
I left the Ozarks of Missouri in 1962 to move to Nashville and pursue the music that I loved and, as it turned out, spend the rest of my natural life singing and "whanging" away on my old J45 Gibson as I traveled down every backroad and blacktopped highway in America. {read more}

Note from Red

No one deserves the honor of induction into the Missouri Country Music Hall of Fame more than does Stan Hitchcock. Stan has made a major impact on the world of country music. His recording career created a jillion fans, his TV show Heart to Heart is still a classic, and his leadership in keeping country music alive on television is priceless. Stan is a country music icon and an American treasure. Stan, thanks for being my long time and very special friend.
