More Than A Road...It's An American Journey!

Fall is upon us and BHTV is working to bring some new music product and programming to our audience. We have received thousands of letters and e-mails from you the fans about our series on RFD TV and we have decided this month to rebroadcast several episodes we have received so much mail about. For example, on The Best of Reno's Old Time Music Festival we will be re-airing the episodes of Charlie Waller, Tom T. Hall and Part 1 of Ronnie's tribute to Don Reno and Red Smiley; The Gospel Sampler, back by popular demand, has episodes featuring Hearts Journey and The Goodwill Trio; while the Heart to Heart Classic episodes of Billy Joe Shaver and Hank Thompson make another appearance.

BlueHighways TV has quite a few fans in the Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas areas which were hit so hard over the past month by both hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected by these disasters and we encourage everybody to do what they can to help those whose lives were pushed into chaos by these forces of nature. BlueHighways TV is working on several fronts to raise monies for direct donation to the local charities of the areas affected and we will keep our audience infomed of our progress.

MOVING TO NASHVILLE
Stan and the flying pigs

It's 1962, I'm just a dumb country kid from the Ozarks...but, I've got a recording contract with Columbia Records, I've had my first record released and just had my first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, so I'm stepping in pretty tall cotton...let's go back to a simpler time of life and remember what it was like.....Stan Hitchcock

QUESTION: Back in the 1970s there was a TV show called "Night Gallery" and they used a country song in the background. Do you know the name of that tune?

QUESTION: Did Chet Atkins and Merle Travis win some kind of award for a recording many years ago?

Road News

The Poppy Mt. Festival is the biggest festival we play, it's in Morehead KY on Sept. the 15th, 16th 17th and about 60,000 folks show up for the three day festival and wow do they have a great time and celebrate the music that KY is known for.

On July 15th and 16th Ronnie Reno and Reno Tradition played a new festival at the Bellegrove Plantation in Middletown VA. This was a great festival in the fact they had a great crowd but also the venue at the plantation was a great setting not only for the music but also the history that the plantation has kept down thru the years. The staff was so gracious and caring and we will do it again next year on July the 8th. Come out to the show and play with us.
