City Chase San Francisco presented by Palm® is only 10 days away and we hope you are excited because we sure are! This is the second to last update before the Chase is On! San Francisco is the fourth stop for City Chase and you can take a
look at our
photo gallery to get an idea of some of the challenges you may face next week. If there is one thing our participants so far have learned, it is that they wish they had more friends participating to share their experiences with...so
get the word out and get yuor friends signed up today!
If this is the first email you have received, don't worry because everything you need to know is covered, so read this closely. There is a lot of information in this email but it is all very important so please read through it
thouroughly. Don't forget to bring a signed copy of your
waiver form. You will also want to familiarize yourself one last time with our
Rules & Regulations. HEADS UP - be sure to check your email before noon next Thursday for an important clue...potentially your first challenge!

A LITTLE TEASER....Win the City Chase/Palm Adventure! Palm and City Chase have collaborated to create the City Chase/Palm Adventure! Maybe your team isn't the fastest, but perhaps the most resourceful!
What's the City Chase/Palm Adventure?
In your event bag, you will find one (1) balloon. During City Chase, you must find a companion balloon that will be placed somewhere on the race course; fill both balloons with helium and your team must cross the finish line holding the
two balloons above your heads.
How to Qualify?
Both team members must cross the finish line holding helium-filled orange balloons with strings attached, flying above their head to qualify for the Grand Prize drawing.
Grand Prize - A winning team from each regional will be selected from all teams that complete the City Chase/Palm Adventure during their race at the post event party via a random drawing. The selected team from each regional
drawing will take home two Palm® Centro smartphones the day of the race and will then be entered into the Grand Prize adventure sweepstakes where one team will be selected as the City Chase/Palm Adventure Grand Prize winner. The team
chosen in the Grand Prize sweepstake will receive first class airfare, ground transfers, hotel accommodations for two for 3 nights and a $400 American Express Gift Certificate to cover incidentals. The Grand Prize winning team will go to
the City Chase US Championship as a member of the Palm City Chase team and will play an active role at the event photographing and videoing the race while sharing their point of view of the race with City Chasers from around the globe.

START LOCATION
The San Francisco City Chase will start at the Justin Herman Plaza located at 1 Market St. Embarcadero Plaza. Justin Herman Plaza is located at the foot of Market Street at the Embarcadero, just behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It is just
across the street from the Ferry Building. You can take BART or Muni to the Embarcadero Station, which is the nearest station. Taking public transportation is an excellent idea, because parking may be difficult. If you must drive, there
are parking garages at Embarcadero Center and at various locations South of Market. Event day check-in will take place between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. Please bring your signed waiver and check in under the last name of the person who
registered your team.

Pre-Event Race Kit Pick Up and Check-in
Thursday 6:30-8:30pm @ the Crunch Fitness in the Financial District at 350 Sansome St. Friday 6:30-8:30pm @ the Crunch Fitness at 1000 Van Ness. Remember, if you pick up your kit at the Pre-Event Pick Up you will get your BART pass
early!
Palm® POST PARTY
Come share an ice-cold beverage and your experiences with the other competitors after City Chase at the Palm® Post Party hosted by Palm® at the Hard Rock Cafe on Pier 39! The post-party will include two drink tickets and appetizers
courtesy of Palm®, and a slide show of the day's activities playing on the TV's at the party....you won't want to miss out!
A FEW QUICK REMINDERS FOR EVENT DAY
Check-in - 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the Justin Herman Plaza at 1 Market St.
Line-Ups – During check-in and during the event you may experience some line-ups as we process over 600 participants.
I.D. - Don't forget that both team members MUST bring photo ID.
Dress comfortably & appropriately for the weather – Note: This event will go on rain or shine. There is always a possibility of getting dirty & wet along the way. Don't wear your favorite shorts or shoes if you are worried about them
potentially getting damaged.
A Snack and some Hydration: You might want pack a little something so that you can eat and drink on the run! A little extra energy and being properly hydrated along the way may give you the leg up you need on your competition. We will
have Dasani water and Enviga available at certain locations throughout the race but you should bring some yourself just in case.

The event begins at 10:00 am sharp. The official welcome will begin at roughly 9:30 am, followed by an overview of rules, acknowledgments, some pre-event prizing, and perhaps even a few event insider tips. All participants must be at the
location and checked in ready to go no later than 9:00 am.
ChasePoints and Finish Line close at 4:00 pm, with prizing and post-event mingling, socializing and commiserating at a to be determined location at roughly 4:30 pm.
