June Speaker
Dr. Susan Campbell, PhD.
Relationship expert and best-selling author Dr. Susan Campbell will offer a mini workshop entitled 10 "Truth Skills" for Authentic Relating: What Clients Really Need From a Relationship Coach at the next San Diego Professional Coaching
Alliance (SDPCA) meeting. The workshop will be held Monday, June 9, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the Courtyard by Marriott Old Town, 2435 Jefferson St, San Diego 619-260-8900.
During her presentation Campbell will help coaches recognize the ways clients tend to "go on automatic" when they are anxious or uncertain. This reactive behavior sabotages their efforts to develop intimate connections with others. She
helps coaches recognize that the majority of people are typically in a mild state of reactivity to protect boundaries, meet their needs, and retain their values. Then she offers techniques identifying and modifying this behavior.
"We're always delighted to bring speakers of Dr. Campbell's quality. Members learn new techniques for use in their coaching practice as well as personal tips to help them with their own relationships," says Elizabeth Fried, vice president
of marketing and public relations for SDPCA and president of The Learning Engine an executive assessment, development, and coaching firm.
Campbell has written nine books on relationships and conflict resolution, has delivered hundreds of seminars and workshop internationally, and has counseled thousands of individuals and couples. She has directed a think tank, run
non-profit organizations, consulted to Fortune 500 companies, and guest lectured at the Harvard, Stanford, and UCLA business schools. In demand with the press, radio and TV to help interpret the status of contemporary human work and love
relations, she has appeared on CNN's NewsNight and Good Morning America and Dr. Dean Edell.
Meeting registration and networking take place at 9:30 - 10:00 am, meeting and guest speaker at 10:00 am – Noon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS: "A CHANGE IN OUR RENEWAL PROCESS"
We are asking all our members to please take the time to renew online prior to the meeting which is held the month of your renewal. If you wait until the week before the meeting, you must bring a copy of your printed receipt or we have no
way to verify your renewal.
HERE'S WHY:
1. Your credit card information will not be on a loose piece of paper that changes many hands.
2. You will avoid any consequences of potential human error.
3. It is simply the most efficient and effective way to renew.
4. You will get into the meeting faster because there won't be paperwork for you to complete prior to the meeting.
5. Everyone will appreciate your contribution to the improved speed and efficiency of the registration process.
6. If you are paying with a credit card, it just makes sense! Look at the alternative option below and we think you'll agree.

COACHES IN ACTION
Please join us at Coaches In Action from 12:15 to 1:00 following the meeting. That's where we discuss the speaker's presentation, share what we can use in our own businesses, talk about our individual niches, and pair up for a laser
coaching session. Its great fun and very productive.
