Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) is proving to be a very effective tool in identifying incipient bearing failures in its early stages. As is well acknowledged, bearing vibration testing is a very
important part of any Maintenance program, but has limited ability to detect electrical issues within the motor and from incoming power.
A large majority of rotating equipment rely on Rolling Element Bearings for continued successful operation. Rolling Element Bearings carry the load of the shaft, internally locate the shaft and separate the rotating from non-rotating
components. Identifying rolling element bearing failures before they disrupt operations is the basis for most predictive maintenance programs.
William Kruger, Training and Technical Manager at ALL-TEST Pro, has over 30 years of experience with Vibration and Electric Rotating Machinery. He has studied and tested the effectiveness of ESA testing on bearings and has released a
series of I-presentations at reliabilityweb.com.
Additionally, a white paper on this subject will be released soon and if you are interested in receiving a copy when it becomes available please provide your contact information below.
We will also put the I-presentation on our website
www.alltestpro.com starting July 01, 2009 for download.
For more information regarding this important subject please provide your Name, Company, Mailing Address, Country, and Email Address in the box provided below. We will send you the white paper and an
informational CD about improving your motor system reliability.
