The Annual ArtSpan Benefit Art Show - Date Change!
The Annual ArtSpan Benefit Art Show and Auction will now take place on Thursday, April 26th. ArtSpan has elected to move the event to accommodate SFMOMA's 14th Annual Artists Warehouse Sale and California College of the Arts' Centennial Gala and Threads Fashion Show, both to be held on Wednesday, April 25th.

Thursday, April 26th

Bid on more than 130 works by local artists in live and silent auctions. Enjoy desserts, drinks and delectables with a San Francisco flavor and groove to the sounds of DJ Shissler. New this year, awards will be given for the pieces judged to be First and Second in representational, non-representational, fine craft, and three-dimensional art, as well as Juror's Choice.

Artist Mixer: Calling All Artists and Volunteers!
Join us at Mars Bar & Restaurant on Wednesday, March 21st at 6pm for ArtSpan's no-host Artist Mixer. Pick up a SF Open Studios packet and sign up to volunteer at the ArtSpan Benefit Art Show and Auction all while making new friends!

Spots in the SF Open Studios Guide sell quickly. The Early Bird specials offer discounted pricing to those who pay by March 31st. Write to info@artspan.org for a media kit.

SF Open Studios artists can purchase a full-page ad for $1,200; this includes a Premier Artist Membership, value $170. Commitment and payment is due March 31st.

Premier and Participating Artist Bulletin: The Place to Go to Know Your Arts
All announcements are from SF Open Studios Artists.

  • Kellyann Gilson will be showing her work at Aspect Gallery, 731 Polk St. 563 3596 Monday - Sunday 10am - 6 pm, March 24 - May 24th. The reception will be held March 24, 2007, 6-10pm. Visit www.framingaspect.com for more info.
  • Support Mike Kimball, Jack Jacobson, Tatiana Lyskova, Linda Masotti, Marti McKee and Ron Newman at Backstage Salon, 2134 Polk Street. The opening reception is on Friday March 16th from 7 to 9pm. The show will run through April 1st.
  • Dan McHale is showing at The Hamm's Building, 1550 Bryant Street, from March 20th to 24th. The artist's reception will take place on Thursday, March 22nd from 5 to 8pm.
  • Three works by Julie Nelson were selected to the Falkirk Cultural Center Bay Area Annual Juried Exhibition, 1408 Mission Avenue, San Rafael. The show opens Thursday, March 29 (5:30-7:30pm) and runs through May 26th.
  • Visit "2 for 1: A mother repurposes her daughter's art," March 8th- April 22nd to support Cynthia Tom at Sequoias Atrium Gallery, 1400 Geary, SF 9am - 8pm. The opening is on March 15th, 4-6 pm. Visit www.cynthiatom.com for more information about all of Cynthia's current exhibitions.
  • Maxine Solomon will be included in The San Francisco International Arts Festival exhibition at ArtWorkSF Gallery, 49 Geary Street, Suite 215, San Francisco CA. The work will be on display from May 15 to June 3, 2007.
  • Ann Simms will show her work at ArtWorkSF Gallery, 49 Geary Street, Suite 215, April 3rd - April 21st. The reception will take place on Thursday, April 5 5:30-7:30pm.
  • I Spy Gallery, 845 Market Street will present works by Angela Baker March 14th through April 15th. The opening party will be held on Friday, March 16th from 6:30 to 9:30pm.
