2007 SF Open Studios: Premier Artist Membership Deadline
The Premier Artist Membership deadline is fast approaching. Sign up online before May 7th to be included in the printed Guide and to be eligible to reserve space in the SOMARTS exhibition (additional forms will be sent via post).
  • Step one is to make a payment.
  • Passwords to sign-up are sent after payment is made.
  • Logins and passwords from prior years must be reactivated through payment.
  • Digital submissions are possible only through online sign up. Again, step one to online sign up is to make a payment.

SF Open Studios schedule:

  • October 5-7 Studios will not be open. Gear up for SF Open Studios at the Private Preview Gala and Exhibition Opening Reception!
  • October 13-14 Buena Vista, Diamond Heights, Fort Mason, Haight, Hayes Valley, Marina, Mount Davidson, Pacific Heights, Richmond, Sunset, Twin Peaks, West Portal

  • Bayview-Hunters Point Artists are invited to apply for an 18-month studio residency at Hunters Point Shipyard. For an application, call 415-822-0922. Deadline for applications is May 15, 2007.
  • Fourth Annual Central Coast Fine Arts Competition August 10-September 16. Over $3000 in awards. Juried by Susan Hillhouse, Curator of Exhibition andCollections, Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. View the prospectus form, due May 31st.
  • Kala Art Institute invites California-born artists to apply for fellowship competition and James D. Phelan Art Award in Printmaking. Kala provides exceptional facilities to professional artists working in all forms of printmaking, digital media, photography, and book arts.

  • The National Poetry Association will be publishing its next Mother Earth Int'l Issue under the theme: Artists as Poets & Poets as Artists.
