• Leslie Lowinger will present her work in the 8x8 Printmaking Show at Market Street Gallery, 1554 Market Street (at Van Ness), May 1-31st.
• Dominique Bayart will present Fantasies at Mina Dresden Gallery, 312 Valencia Street at 14th Street, May 8th-31st, open Tuesday through Saturday, 5pm-8pm or by appointment 415.863.8312.
• Over 2 dozen San Francisco artists from the Sunset Artists Society (SAS), including Kate Dopheide will hold their fifth annual art sale and exhibition at Golden Gate Park's Hall of Flowers, 9th Avenue at Lincoln. The show, "Art in the Avenues," will be open from 10am - 5pm Saturday, June 2nd, & Sunday, June 3rd. The event will feature affordably-priced original artwork directly from both emerging and established artists. Visit artists exhibiting an array of mediums: painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fused glass, jewelry, collage and textiles. Admission is free to the public.

• Deadline May 31, 2007: Fourth Annual Central Coast Fine Arts Competition August 10 - September 16. Over $3000 in awards. Juror is Susan Hillhouse, Curator of Exhibition and Collections, Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. Entries must be original 2-D works, excepting photography, computer generated work. Must be painted within the past three years and without the aid of an instructor.
