Art for City Youth
Thank You to ArtSpan's Donors

Thanks to your generous support, ArtSpan was able raise $7,500 to win a one-to-one matching grant from the Miranda Lux Foundation. The $15,000 will support the ArtSpan's art and literacy program, Art for City Youth. Thank you!

SF Open Studios Exhibition

Premier and Participating Artist Bulletin: The Place to Go to Know Your Arts

All announcements are from 2007 SF Open Studios Artists.


  • Ari Salomon will exhibit his photographs at the Uptown Night Club, 1928 Telegraph Ave, Oakland now through March 10. Reception: February 1, 5pm.
  • Cynthia Tom's arts organization, Asian American Women Artists Association needs donations of new or slightly used handmade items, original arts and crafts, jewelry, accessories, and interesting gifts to raise funds for programming in 2009 at their 2nd Annual Boutique Sale, 1890 Bryant Street #302 at Mariposa, SF. The sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27. Call 415-252-7996 for more information on how to donate.
  • Gina Jacupke is the featured San Francisco Guest Artist in Berlin in San Francisco, an international art exhibition at Mina Dresden Gallery, 312 Valencia, SF, now through January 31.
  • Joshua Hagler's work is presented at Reaves Gallery, 2344 Market Street, SF, in "Behemoth" now through January 31.
  • April Hankins' work is on exhibit at the New Art Center, 580 8th Avenue, at 38th Street, 5th Floor, in Manhattan now through January 31. Visit her new website at www.aprilhankins.com.
  • Vince Meyer's Table Asia Gallery brings unique Japanese works to the San Francisco Arts of Pacific Asia Show, February 1-3 at Fort Mason Center.
  • Alan Mazzetti presents large abstract paintings from his Probabilities series in the group show "Ancient City: the art of urban transformation" at 580 Hayes StreetGallery, SF from February 6 to March 1. Opening Reception: Friday, February 8, 5:30-9pm. Artist Panel Discussion: Friday, February, 22 6-8pm. Closing reception: Friday, February 29 7-10pm.
  • Fernando Reyes will present his work at two upcoming shows: "Black & White" at MDH Fine Arts, 233 West 19th St., New York, opening Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 and "JINGLETOWN," March 16 - April 27 at Pro Arts Gallery, 550 Second Street, Oakland.
