SF Open Studios: Participating Artist Membership: August 22nd DEADLINE!

Don't miss your chance to participate in SF Open Studios 2008! Register before the August 22nd deadline for the Participating Artist Membership. Click here to register online or contact ArtSpan at 415-861-9838 to receive a paper registration form in the mail.

Premier and Participating Artist Bulletin: The Place to Go to Know Your Arts

  • Join Susan Belau, Leslie Lowinger, board member, and Ellen Markoff at a. Muse Gallery, 614 Alabama Street, SF for Eclections: Summer Print Selections. Opening Reception for the Artists: Thursday, July 17th, 6-9pm.
  • Art 94124 Gallery, 3900B 3rd Street at Fairfax Street, SF, invites you to the closing party for the exhibit Expressions of San Francisco, a juried exhibit featuring 80 San Francisco artists, Saturday, July 19, 2008, 5-7pm.
  • Carolyn Wang was selected as a finalist in the Bullseye E-merge 2008 Exhibition, on display now through July 25th in Portland. Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington has granted her a scholarship for the 2008 Summer Session.
  • Adele Louise Shaw, board member, will show her work in a solo exhibition of new paintings with wax now through July 27th at Venus Gallery, 627 Cortland Avenue, SF.
  • Ari Salomon participates in Insider/Outsider, a group exhibition addressing themes of identity, ethnicity, migration, and place. Root Division, 3175 17th Street, SF. Show open now through July 29th. His work will also be represented in the SFMOMA Artists Gallery at Fort Mason.
  • Gina Jacupke's figure drawings will be presented at Caffe DiVino, 37 Caledonia Street, Sausalito. now through July 31, 2008.
  • Jenn Porreca will be included in 5 Identities 5 Destinations at Ad Hoc Art Gallery, 49 Bogart Street, Brooklyn, NY. Opening Reception: July 25, 2008. Show runs through August 24, 2008.
  • Dorian Katz will present her artwork in Sexicon III: The Art and Language of Erotica now through August 3rd at Stormy Leather, 1158 Howard St., SF.
  • John Vias will show his work in a group show at Joyce Gordon Gallery, 406 14th Street, Oakland, now through July 18th.
  • Silvia Poloto will present her work in a solo show at Gallery 415, 49 Geary Street, 4th Fl., SF, now through July 31st.
  • Richard Bolingbroke's artwork will present a new painting in Watercolor USA at the Springfield Art Museum, Springfield, Missouri, now through August 3, 2008. Four other watercolors will be included in the invitational exhibition curated by George Rivera and Preston Metcalf in The Contemporary Still-Life at the Triton Museum of Art, 1505 Warburton Ave., Santa Clara, now through September 7.
  • Catherine Reed will present her work in an art show in conjunction with the 21st North American Prairie Conference in Winona, Minnesota. Paul Watkins Gallery, Winona State University, Tuesday, August 5, 5-6:30pm and Winona Arts Center, 228 East 5th Street, 6:30-8pm. The show will run August 5-September 20, 2008.   • Emily Clawson's work was chosen for the juried exhibition Translucent: Contemporary Works in Wax at Cain Schulte Gallery, 101 Townsend Street, 2nd Floor, #207, SF, now through August 14, 2008.
  • Trish Tunney will present her work in a group show at Secession Art and Design, 3361 Mission St., SF, now through August 28, 2008. Opening Reception: Friday, July 25, 6:30-9:30pm.
  • Priscilla Otani will participate in PCBA's BookWorks 2008 show at the San Francisco Public Library Main Branch, 100 Larkin Street, Skylight Gallery, 6th Floor, now through September 26, 2008.
