ArtSpan Celebrates the Art for City Youth Program!

Bessie Carmichael Elementary school honored ArtSpan and its Art for City Youth Program with a breakfast reception on March 20, 2009. BCE is one of two schools that ArtSpan provides arts education to via a comprehensive 8-week artist residency and three-part tour program of the SF Open Studios Exhibition. The reception showcased the artwork of students grades K-5 created during the 8-week residency program. ArtSpan Board and staff members were in attendance. The following Saturday, Bessie joined other SOMA organizations in a festival celebrating youth in the South of Market area.
