The deadline for payment, completed registration forms, and a JPEG of your artwork is this FRIDAY, August 21, 2009.

Artist Professional Development Workshops

As a benefit of registering for SF Open Studios, Premier and Participating Artist Members are invited to attend ArtSpan's Professional Development Workshops.

$5 discounted admission fee for artists who participate in Open Studios programs with Marin Arts Council or Pro Arts.

$10 admission fee for members of the public.

Sevilla Granger is currently part of three group shows: "Touching the Bay" was selected by Jurors Sandi Chin, Deborah Phillips and Dianne Romaine for the group exhibition "Painting Large" at Dominican University by Artworks Downtown;
six of her pieces were selected for the group show called "For Love or Money" at the Brea GAllery in So. Cal; "Cliff Dweller" is on view at the Monterey Convention Center.

Jack Androvich's nomalfotos are featured in a two month exhibition opening 8/20, 6-9pm at
Triptych Restaurant and Gallery, 1155 Folsom, SF.

Marie Kelzer's work "Transcendental Meditation" was chosen in the 2009 National Juried Exhibition of the Marin Society of Artists, 30 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Ross, now to 8/30.

Support the art community at Hunters Point Shipyard in an Annual Benefit Auction taking place during the last weekend of SF Open Studios, 10/31 and 11/1, 5-7pm or participate in proxy bidding throughout the weekend for the chance to take
home artwork by SF Open Studios 2009 Shipyard Artists. Also, new this year, is a raffle. The event supports Shipyard Trust for the Arts, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to conserving affordable art, creating arts exhibition and
education programs, and supporting arts programs in the surrounding community.

Karl Roeseler is part of a group show at the SF Convention and Visitors Bureau, featuring 6 figurative paintings from his "Black & White Paintings" series, now until 12/11. His work is also exhibited in the upstairs dining loft of

Bayview Opera House is seeking artists to participate in SF Open Studios 2009, Weekend 3, October 24 & 25. Indoor and outdoor space is available for rent, subject to an approval process. 5 artists will be awarded with grants to cover SF
Open Studios registration fees. The awardees will also receive booth space at the Bayview Opera House during SF Open Studios ($100 value) and will receive 100 group site postcards for distribution. Artists must reside in the 94124 or 94134
area codes of SF, demonstrate financial need, provide visual portfolio by CD or photo album (no slides), all art must be Fine Art (painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, or fine crafts such as jewelry,

Deadline: 9/1/09. RayKo Photo Center now accepts applications for their Aritist-in-Residence program from any artists working in photgraphy-based media. Photographers will receive $1500 credit to use however they choose at RayKo's
