Several ArtSpan artists are featured in a new exhibition at the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau offices. Curated by Jill Manthei, the work on view celebrates the diversity of our creative community. Photographs, paintings,
prints, sculpture, and collage reflect the urban energy and natural escapes we crave as city dwellers. Selected artists include

Airstream Trailer to collaborate with TLC's show Making Over America (the Airstream can be seen in each episode on Friday nights). The Airstream, which doubles as her studio and showcase, was also featured in Daily Candy and Apartment
Therapy this summer.

Phylis Johnson-Silk is presenting her unique jewelry designs in the Cole Valley Fair on 9/20, 10am- 5pm, on Cole Street between Carl and Grattan.

Richard Bolingbroke is showing selected works from his series "Ritual and Meditations" in "Love Life and Death" at Minna Street Center on Minna and 8th, now to 9/25.

Sevilla Granger's piece entitled "Larger and..." has been granted the "Florence Ferrario Award" from the Northern California Arts Association, and has
been selected for the 54th annual international juried exhibition "Bold Expressions" at the
Sacramento Fine Arts Center, 9/29 to 10/24. She will be participating with 25 other SF artists in
iB Crafty on 9/26, 12-6 at
Workspace Ltd, 2150 Folsom St. Four of her pieces are hanging in the store front windows of
EZDG Design Group, 1246 18th St. She is completing a large commission for
RCD Architects which will be featured in the community center of Shinsei
Gardens, their new housing development in Alameda.

Ari Salomon's work is showing in "One Shot x2" at SF Photo Center Gallery at the Harvey Milk Arts Center, 50 Scott (in Duboce Park), now to 9/30. He has one piece in "It's Still Life" at RayKo Photo Center, 428 3rd St. He will be
exhibiting large lightboxes from his "Motion Studies" series in the SFMOMA Minna and Natoma Street windows, 2/6 to 3/30/2010, along with work from Andy Vogt.

Biff Moshe will exhibit paintings in a solo show, "San Francisco and Beyond" at the
North of Market/Tenderloin Community Benefit District, 134 Golden Gate Ave., SF, now to 9/28.

Roxanne Worthington and
Adrienne Defendi present their artwork in "Transformation," a group show at

home artwork by SF Open Studios 2009 Shipyard Artists. Also, new this year, is a raffle. The event supports Shipyard Trust for the Arts, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to conserving affordable art, creating arts exhibition and
education programs, and supporting arts programs in the surrounding community.

bigdeal@visualaid.org by 9/30/09. Proceeds from Big Deal are used to underwrite grants and provide free arts supplies and exhibition opportunities to Visual Aid artist living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. The
