ArtSpan's annual Benefit Art Show & Auction will take place on Saturday, March 27 at SOMArts Bay Gallery. Mark your calendars and invite your art enthusiast friends! Don't miss ArtSpan's first Artist & Volunteer Mixer of 2010 at Coffee Bar, 1890 Bryant Street (on the corner of Mariposa and Florida) on Tuesday, February 23, 6-8pm.

This is your opportunity to network with ArtSpan's staff, board, and committee members as well as other artists and volunteers. Laptops will be available to start your registration for SF Open Studios 2010. Treat yourself to delicious baked goods from patisserie Philippe and coffees and teas (this is a no-host event).   • 2/26-4/17, Nadine Defranoux's has been selected for the 3rd International Juried Plastic Camera Show at Rayko, 428 3rd St. Opening Reception: 2/26, 6-8pm.

  • Now - 2/20, Bernadette Jiyong Frank will exhibit her work at Triangle Gallery, 47 Kearny Street, in Old Friends - New Faces IV (a group show).

  • 2/28-4/1, Michael Ross' new series featuring birds, marshes, and waterscapes will appear in "Wetlands" at the Norwegian Seaman's Church, 2454 Hyde. Opening Reception: 2/28, 12-3pm with coffee and Norwegian waffles. Gallery hours: Tues-Fri, 11-5, Sat-Sun, 10-4.

  • Renee Eaton's painting Life's Geometry was accepted for "Journeys," the 2nd Bay Area juried exhibition at the Cheese Factory, 7500 Red Hill Road in Petaluma. Opening Reception: 3/14, 2-4pm. Curator's Tour and Artist's Talk: 4/11, 2-4pm. Closing Event: 5/22.

  • Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) offers private guided tours of artists' studios at the Hunters Point Shipyard Art Colony throughout the year, $20 per person, group size 4-6 for a 2 hour tour (funds STAR programs).
