City Chase Chicago is in 2 days on Saturday, August 27, 2011! This is the final informational email you will receive and this email includes your first ChasePoint challenge - CHASEPOINT #1. There are also some helpful hints in this email
to help you prepare for City Chase and don't forget, tonight (Thursday) is our final pre-event pickup (details below).
CHASEPOINT #1:
City Chase Chicago is proud to announce Special Olympics Chicago as our official charitable partner. As your FIRST CHASEPOINT we encourage your support for this meaningful cause and we ask that your team raise a minimum of $40 in donations
for Special Olympics Chicago by 3 PM on Saturday, August 27th. (Although not mandatory, it will give you a leg up on the competition to have one ChasePoint complete before the start of the event).
City Chase is proud to again partner as we have the past 4 years with locally based charity
Special Olympics Chicago (our teams raised over $30K for Special Olympics Chicago last year and we hope to raise even more this year). Special Olympics Chicago, in cooperation with the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools and
Special Olympics Illinois is committed to providing year-round sports training, recreational and social programs for the children and adults of Special Olympics Chicago. Special Olympics Chicago offers training and competition in 22
sports. Athletes learn fundamentals, rules and strategies from their coaches during training periods prior to competition. Learn more about

In order to complete ChasePoint #1 and raise your $40 for Special Olympics Chicago you can include your family, friends, colleagues or anyone else you wish to approach for support by simply becoming a fundraiser at the link below,
forwarding them your fundraising page and having them donate any amount on your behalf. Be sure to share your efforts on Facebook, Twitter and all other social media outlets you use to help spread the word and reach your goal. You should
create ONE FUNDRAISING PAGE per team and you can enter either a participant's name or your team name in the First and Last name fields when creating your team's fundraising page.

The team that raises the most money for Special Olympics Chicago will win a Blackhawks outing including four (4) tickets to a 2011/12 Blackhawks game, a $150 gift certificate to Billy Goat Tavern and sedan transportation to and from the
game! We will announce and award the winner at the post party at John Barleycorn - Wrigleyville!
Notes: Donations must be collected online only (through the link above) and will be verified on course at a location TBD that you will learn on Saturday. Once you meet the $40 minimum to complete the ChasePoint you will receive a ticket
with a PDF attachment that you must print and bring with you on Saturday in order to receive credit for ChasePoint #1 or you may also bring a print-out of your personal fundraising page showing the amount you have raised (you must raise at
least $40 to receive credit for completing the ChasePoint). All details about how the online fundraising process will work are available on the fundraising page using the following link.

HELPFUL HINTS:
Every team should bring a phone with video and photo capabilities as this will help you during City Chase. Remember to hit our final pre-event pickup tonight (Thursday) at the locations and times listed below in order to get prepared
before Saturday. Bring your signed waivers with you. Get a jump on the competition now by beginning with CHASEPOINT #1!

START / FINISH:
City Chase Chicago will be starting and finishing at
Wrigley Field (1060 W. Addison), in the Purple Lot located on Clark St. between Addison and Waveland -
MAP. After you finish get ready to party at our After Party @
John Barleycorn - Wrigleyville (3524 N. Clark St.) where the Coors Light will be flowing!
PRE-EVENT PICK-UP
We encourage you to pick up important event day information before the race at one of our pre-event pick-ups tonight (Thursday, August 25th) between 5-8pm. You must bring a photo I.D. and your completed team waiver (signed by both
participants) to pick-up. There will be 2 pick-up locations each night and they will be as follows:
Fitness Formula Club - Halsted located at 3228 N. Halsted (just north of Halsted/Belmont) from 5-8pm -

Fleet Feet Sports located at 1620 N. Wells (North Ave./Wells) from 5-8pm -

If you don't pick up in advance, event day check-in will take place between 7:30am and 9:00am at Wrigley Field (1060 W. Addison) - Purple Lot (on Clark between Addison and Waveland). Please bring your waiver signed by both participants to
pre-event check in or you will not be given your bibs until event day. You will need to print out, fill out, and bring your team waiver to check-in whether it be in advance or on race day in order to compete.

PRIZES
While City Chase is more about the adventure than how fast you complete your course, we will have outstanding prizes for our top few finishing teams, the team with the best costume (remember you MUST have your City Chase shirt and bib on
over your costume), our top all-female finishing team, our top fundraisers and more. This year the prizes for our top three (3) finishing teams include a trip to the
Del Mar Mud Run 5K in San Diego on October 15th with airfare, hotel accommodations, entry into the Del Mar Mud Run 5K included, a weekend trip to Vegas complete with airfare and stay at
The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, and 40-inch HD LCD TVs (one (1) prize for each of the top three (3) finishing teams - prize for each place TBD). Awards will all be given at the After Party at John Barleycorn - Wrigleyville @ 4:30pm
AFTER PARTY:

After City Chase come share an ice cold Coors Light, food and your experiences with the other competitors at our After Party at
John Barleycorn - Wrigleyville. The post-party will include one complimentary Coors Light, great drink and food specials, award ceremony and a slide show of the day's activities (Award Ceremony and Prize Draw will be 4:30pm)...you
won't want to miss out!
A FEW QUICK REMINDERS FOR EVENT DAY:
Check-in – 7:30am to 9:00am at Wrigley Field - 1060 N. Clark (in the Purple Lot on Clark between Addison and Waveland). (For those unable to attend pre-registration or need to turn in waiver). Be there in time for a warm-up provided
by Fitness Formula Clubs.

Check-in and other possible delays – There may be a short wait as we process the over 1,500 participants during check-in. You may also experience "line-ups" at certain ChasePoints along the course due to the number of
participants but these should be minimal.

I.D. - Don’t forget that both team members MUST bring photo ID.

Dress comfortably and & appropriately for the weather – Note: This event will go on no matter what the weather is. There is always a possibility of getting dirty & wet along the way (hint: wear a bathing suit). Don’t
wear your favorite shorts or shoes if you are worried about them potentially getting damaged.

Parking - For those planning on driving, we recommend a different plan! There is minimal parking near the Start and Finish, and you cannot use a car or bike during the race. We recommend using the CTA to get to the Start Line. If you
register at one of our pre-event pick-ups you will have your CTA pass for Saturday already! If you must drive, you will be allowed to park in the Blue Lot north of Wrigley Field off of Waveland/Seminary.

A Drink and a Snack: You might want to pack a little something so you can hydrate and eat on the run! A little extra energy along the way may give you the leg up you need on your competition.

The event begins at 10:00am sharp, the official welcome will begin at roughly 9:30am, followed by an overview of rules, acknowledgments, some pre-event prizing, and perhaps even a few event insider tips. All participants must be at the
location and checked in ready to go no later than 9:00am.

The ChasePoints and Finish Line close at 4:00pm, with prizing and the draw @4:30 and post-event mingling, socializing and commiserating at the John Barleycorn - Wrigleyville.
The Chase is on! Don't forget to tell your friends, co-workers, family members and Facebook strangers that you're "friends" with to sign up.
