Don't Miss the Visioning Workshops
Enthusiasm is mounting for the first of three Visioning Workshops being coordinated by the the Restoration Action Team on Tuesday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Tijuana Estuary Visitor Center.
This first meeting will include presentations by the major organizations involved in managing, planning and regulating the valley's uses. It is hoped that most of the presentations will be available in advance on the TJ River Team
website on the
Visioning page.
How to Register
To register for the workshop, e-mail Kristen Goodrich, Coastal Training Program Coordinator, at
kgoodrich@parks.ca.gov. The cost of lunch is $10. Please include any dietary restrictions or special needs that we can accommodate. Cash or check is currently the only form of payment accepted. Checks can be made out to Southwest
Wetlands Interpretive Association.
Space is limited so please RSVP as soon as possible. If you are sending a delegate in your place, please indicate that.
Who Is Invited?
All members of the Recovery Team and other interested parties are invited. The meeting is hosted and coordinated by the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve's (TRNERR) Coastal Training Program.

Come Play at the Gymkhana
The public is invited to the Tijuana River Valley Equestrian Association's Gymkhana Play Day Event on Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. The event will be held at the Wigginton Ranch at 2191 Hollister Street.
Border 2012 Grant Program Workshop
The workshop for the annual
Border 2012 Grant Program will be
on April 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. until noon at the San Diego Foundation, 2508 Historic Decatur Road in Liberty Station.
Sacramento Funding Workshop on May 6
The California Financing Coordinating Committee will hold its
2010 CFCC Funding Fair on Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Sacramento. This all-day event is a one-stop-shopping opportunity to learn about funding from a number of state and federal agencies. CFCC agencies fund the following types of

grants page. Grant opportunities are added regularly. New additions include a National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program (technical assistance only), the Kodak American Greenways Program
(up to $2,500), NOAA Fish America Foundation Community-Based Habitat Restoration Projects (up to $75,000), and USEPA Wetlands Program Development Grants (up to $350,000).
