2008 Home Build Schedule

Next week we will announce an exciting new build partnership with dear old friends.

In the meantime, we're pleased to update you on the Women Build Homes project, in partnership with the Maricela Corona Family. With over $18,000 in the bank and $8,000 coming from our Marketplace Mall Wrap Stars, you have raised 40% of the total needed to break ground ($64,500). Thank you!

We're also pleased to update you on one of our recent families, Roxanne and Mel Grantham (2006 HomeBuilders Blitz). For the first time in her life, Mel has earned straight-As and has now been accepted to college. When asked if her new home helped, she replied, "Yes. I had somewhere that I could go to study and get away..." Mel has also become an active community leader through her involvement in Peer Ambassadors, Job Ready and Camp EXEC. "(Habitat is) a lifelong name, something you can always be proud of, and will always be there to help others."

See a Google map of our homes here. Images and stories from past home builds are here and at our Flickr photostream here.

You are invited: Town Halls

Learn about Habitat's mission of building relationships and community through homes for low income families. Ask questions of volunteers and staff. Provide feedback on how Habitat might better serve all of Champaign County.
