Whelp, the holiday season is in full swing here in Plan Be Land.  Last night was the Christmas Parade in our little town and I must admit that I always get a bit teary eyed at these things and it's not just from the cold!

First Friday is a monthly event in Snow Hill where all of the shops, galleries and restaurants stay open until 8 pm. December is a magical time here in town. Twinkling lights all around and the shops & galleries are all brimming with unique gifts for everyone on your list.

While you're in town, make sure you visit the Festival of Trees in the old Snow Hill Firehouse. My BFF Debbie and I designed a matching pair of trees that would fit perfectly on either side of your fireplace or upon your buffet table.  They might even make a perfect gift for a special someone on your list.  They are so elegantly glamorous we call them Diva Trees.

The trees will be on display from December 5th through December 9th, and then they will be auctioned off for charity on Sunday December 9th following a cocktail reception from 2 to 4 pm. I'll be on hand to meet & greet visitors throughout the week or, if I'm not there when you visit, give me a call and I'll meet you there. I live only 2 blocks away…

Business Planning for Creatives

Okay, it's a paradox. I want you to enjoy the holiday season, and I'm also inviting you to begin considering what you might want to create for yourself over the next year. 

Yet this is what it's all about  !  Wanting it, creating it, living it, and moving on to the next thing you want.  Every facet of your life is somewhere on this continuum.

Have you been wanting to start a business? Is your intuition about this subject becoming more insistent?  January is a great time to step into the creation phase of business building, most often called the business plan.  No need to quit your job first, no need to know how you will fit it into your already full life.   All that's really needed is a Knowing that it's TIME.
