The birdies have arrived!

Happy Summer !

The birds have arrived in our backyard and are providing us with endless entertainment! We're learning the different types, laughing at their antics, and even see some of the same ones every day! The Garden Room in our "new" 140-year-old house is at ground level and nearly stretches across the entire back of the house. It also sports huge windows that make us feel as if we are sitting outside - minus the bugs!

I just couldn't pass up the chance to dedicate a garden patch just outside the windows dedicated to attracting birds, bees, butterfly's and other assorted winged critters. But it took some time for them to show up because no one had been feeding them for ages. In fact, the house actually sat vacant for a couple of years before we found it. I feel that it - the house I mean - was waiting for us to come along. Well worth the wait in both cases I must say.

In other news,
I've also been spending some quality time with my jewelry making tools (in the Garden Room of course). So I'm really excited to announce the newest addition to my CultivateLife Lines - Chakra Jewelry! Snow Hill's First Friday

First Friday is a monthly event in Snow Hill where all of the shops, galleries and restaurants stay open until 8 pm. During the summer months dance under the stars in beautiful Sturgis Park located on the banks of the Pocomoke River.

Friday July 6th - Arts on the River: First Friday Gallery Walk. Dancing under the stars, Sturgis Park.

Saturday July 7th - Independence day festival. Independence day festival. Activities planned all day and into the night including a fire works display over the river at 9:15 pm.
