If you want to put a smile on your lips that will last all day,
click here to hear a couple of songs she recorded during her last visit home. Yep, we also have a recording studio in our home, it's infused with all kinds of creative vibes!
Dear Diane, my humble opinion on your questions about, well... just about anything.

Books I Love
The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel
by Diane Setterfield
"Do you know the feeling when you start reading a new book before the membrane of the last one has had time to close behind you? You leave the previous book with ideas and themes - characters even - caught in the fibers of your clothes,
and when you open the new book, they are still with you."
Wow! This quote, from this Gothic novel by Diane Setterfield, is what I feel when I've just finished a good story. The Thirteenth Tale is all that AND, as you can tell from this excerpt, is beautifully written as well!
This book has it all: a backdrop of generational family secrets, the human need of wanting to be understood no matter what chaos we create, and finally the universal desire to leave something behind to "prove" we existed. Seamlessly
alternating between the present time and past, several times I thought I had it all figured out only to have my monkey mind fooled for trying to figure it out. This was great "beginner's mind" practice, something I'm always working on.
It was oh-so fun to "do" it this way! |

Did I make the right choice?
Hi ,
Okay. So now I live in
Snow Hill, Maryland, a small, quaint town of about 2,400 people situated on the Pocomoke River about 6 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean. My vision is to host weekend Advances (because people will feel so rejuvenated afterwards)
in my home with time built in to enjoy the beauty and relaxed atmosphere of the town and surrounding area.
I heard through the grapevine that the proprietor of an eclectic bookstore in town was looking for part time help. Something felt right about applying for the job. Especially since working there would give me the opportunity to get to
know the local business community - and they me. But did I make the right choice? Read on.
On my third day of working at Alice (the name of the bookstore), a man walked in holding a book. He immediately held the book up to indicate he had bought it somewhere else. The title was The Secret. "No worries," I said, and shared
that I bought the DVD. "Since Oprah highlighted it on her show, I've been lending it out a lot."
He laughed and told me his life coach recommended it to him over a year ago, but he just bought the book the day before in Baltimore to read while he was here in town. (Baltimore, MD is about 150 miles away from Snow Hill.)
I replied that I too was a life coach and it was wonderful to meet someone who already knew about the coaching profession.
"My coach has been telling me," he said, "no wait, she has been encouraging me to act on my dream to have a place at the beach. I'll be settling on a condo there in the next couple of weeks."
"Congratulations," I said, and went on to say I viewed our conversation as a sign he was moving in the right direction. After he purchased a few items and left the store I remember thinking it was also an auspicious sign regarding my
decision to work at Alice.
A week later, I received an email from a friend. She wanted to discuss the possibility of hiring me to coach her because of a conversation she had with a friend from Baltimore. "He told me he recently met a life coach at this really cool
bookstore in Snow Hill," she wrote. "I know you moved there recently Diane. Wouldn't it be funny if he was talking about you?"
Fast-forward another few days. I now have a new coaching client. No doubt about it, I'm in the right place for me Right Now!
Hope to see you soon...
