Happy Spring, friends!

I hope you're feeling happy, healthy and loved as we shift out of our winter time and leap exuberantly into spring. This is our time for the delicious art of planting seeds, and intentions.

What will you plant this spring?

Over in Vibrant Reiki Land, the reiki clinic is going fabulously, classes are cookin, and the individual sessions are getting uber juicy of late - reiki drumming, sacred stone reiki, tandem reiki, and soul retrievals abound. I invite you to come play at a reiki share or shaman circle, or come in for a succulent treatment at the healing studio.

One of the two annual Shinpiden Level Intensives (Reiki Master training) is just around the corner in May...if ye've a hankering to delightfully deepen your practice, come play! (see calendar)

Sneak Peek: Bronwyn Michaelis and I are cohosting an Urban Reiki Retreat on May 22...I'll share the juicy details next month.

Featured Healer: Amy Hanks, MS, LAc

moreAmy Hanks, MS, LAc, is the acupuncture goddess who owned my very first San Francisco healing studio, and it's been my profound and joyful privilege to have worked with her since. I've been a client of Amy's for several years, and can't say enough loving, positive, zesty things about her. When I'm out of balance, I turn to Amy for help - I trust her with my life, and relish all of my sessions with her.

Amy's list of credentials is juicy and amazing - she has taught half a dozen tasty subjects at two local acupuncture colleges (AIMC in Berkeley and ACTCM in San Francisco), including acupuncture, Mandarin, Chinese philosophy, the history of Chinese medicine, and courses for the public demystifying Chinese medicine. Her fascination with acupuncture took her gallivanting through Asia in her late teens, where she became fluent in Mandarin.

Amy is a compassionate healer dedicated to helping people thrive. Her manner is always professional, calm, and friendly, and I particularly enjoy her deliciously wry sense of humor. You'll love her obvious passion for what she does, as you dance together through the art of acupuncture. She treats a smorgasboard of conditions, with a focus on repetitive strain injury, back and neck pain, tendinitis, anxiety and insomnia. Every time I leave her office, I feel more grounded, safe, happy and healthy.

But wait, there's more! Amy descends from three highly musical generations actively involved in classical, swing, jazz and world music, and she's continued the familial tradition through studying koto (Japanese zither) and North Indian classical vocal music. Part of Amy's vision is to help musicians and vocalists overcome conditions that inhibit artistic growth, development and performance.

To this end, Amy established the San Francisco Bay Area Musicians' Acupuncture Project (MAP) in 2007 in order to make her services more accessible to musicians and vocalists of many income levels. MAP is an exquisite and generous resource for Bay Area musicians, and was the inspiration for the Reiki Clinic - thanks, Amy!

Amy is offering free 30-minute consultations to members of the Vibrant Reiki community. Call her to request your free consultation...and tell her you were referred by Vibrant Reiki: 415-846-4643.
