Hi folks! I hope you're feeling well and happy today, and that you're already feeling a smile burbling up, maybe a little twitching at the corners of your mouth, perhaps a little more lightness of being, as we sit together in this beautiful moment, and think about reiki, and how darn delicious it feels to be relaxed and happy and free. (twinkle)

I'd like to share a beautiful thing I'm watching in my own life with you, about how my love for myself keeps deepening, growing, and rippling out all through my life. I believe this to be a direct and tangible result of my relationship with reiki and healing energy for these last seven years, and I'm astounded by how reiki has filled my entire life and opened the way for so much enjoyment of living.

For me, reiki is about 'BEING reiki'...which means that as I deepen my reiki practice, I am reiki, and I become pure love. And the more love I am, the more love I give to myself and to you, and the more love there is in creation. It feels like the simplest form of spiritual activism there is - to exude love and joy with every cell.

I hope that the fullness of autumn has you swimming in how much deep, passionate, juicy, profound love there is in your heart for your own glorious self. I celebrate you honoring yourself, whether it's through the meditative act of walking, the ecstatic act of dreaming, or the scrumdiddlyumptious act of being reiki. (laughter) I send you buckets of blessings this month - may we delightedly dance together and love ourselves grandly, boldy, beautifully.

Komyo Reiki Intensive: 11/6 & 11/7

I teach Komyo once a year, and it's a huge delight. I learned Komyo Reiki from it's founder, Inamoto Sensei (see picture above), on his visit to America in 2008, and he was magic. Imagine a venerable Japanese Reiki Sensei with a mischievous sense of humor and a child's delight with life, and there you have it.

Komyo Reiki is not descended through Hawayo Takata, and is both similar and different than western reiki. I absolutely LOVED learning more about 'Japanese Reiki,' and relished learning the Japanese names, symbols and mantras - all different from the Takata-based symbols most of us in the western world have learned. There is an indescribable magic to feeling connected to reiki practices of early 20th century Japan.

The Komyo Reiki class is a two-day intensive, and teaches reiki masters Komyo versions of Shoden, Chuden, Okuden, Shinpiden levels - it's a more Japanese perspective on the entire system of being reiki. Prereq is reiki master training, and details are linked here.

By the end of the intensive, you'll be able to teach the entire Komyo system to other reiki teachers, introduce your beginning students to Komyo, or enjoy Komyo reiki deepening and altering your existing reiki teaching - although that will happen no matter what. Course includes: a distinctly Japanese structure for Shoden, Chuden, Okuden and Shinpiden levels, practice of 14 traditional reiki techniques, giving and receiving all Komyo levels of reiju (attunement), translations of Usui Sensei's original reiki manual & memorial stone, potluck lunch, digital and hard copy manuals for four Komyo levels, and reiki certificate.

Siddheshwari is a sister of my heart, a dear friend, a stellar, brilliant reiki teacher, and the person I go to for my own reiki treatments. When I moved to San Francisco six years ago and started Vibrant Reiki, Siddheshwari was the first example I'd ever seen of a healing practice that focused on reiki, and only reiki. That's still rare today, and Siddheshwari showed me that it's possible to be dedicated wholly to reiki, and thrive.

Siddheshwari has helped thousands of people navigate illness and return to health since 1966. A registered nurse and traditionally trained reiki master in the system of Usui Shiki Ryoho, Siddheshwari founded and directs the Reiki Center of the East Bay, offering reiki treatments, classes and mentoring. Her treatments are down to earth and sublime at the same time, and her classes are incredible sources of ongoing support.

As a way of enticing parents into the world of reiki, Siddheshwari has started to teach Infant Communication & Massage to parents. She is in the process of being certified by Kalena Babeshoff at Healthy Family Living. Parents and babies love the calming effects of this communication massage, and the way it helps them re-connect after a busy day with visitors or other events.

Truly, Siddheshwari is one of my most favorite humans on the planet, and I love her with all my heart. Her warm enthusiasm, humor, and life-long commitment to inner growth have helped me heal and learn so profoundly - I'll be grateful to her forever. Please visit her online here.
