GET-Benefits / H-C & Associates Take The Lead On Compensation Disclosure

Recent events in the insurance brokerage world have brought the way agents are compensated into question by several states and companies. It appears likely that legislation will soon require that an agent or carrier disclose the methodology in which the agent is compensated.

Most employers realize that their agent is paid a commission and may receive additional compensation for meeting certain goals. Unfortunately a few individuals have taken advantage of the compensation model to benefit themselves.

By now you have likely received some correspondence from one of your carriers describing their methodology in compensating agents. It is unlikely that your agent has sent something to you describing how he or she is compensated. Most agents are reluctant to provide this information as it will also bring into question what they are doing for their pay.

Perhaps this is the real root of the question. What is your agent doing for you? Agents of H-C & Associates are proud to say they offer additional services through GET-Benefits, Inc. Single-point online enrollment, single invoice billing and online one-step COBRA administration for all your eligible lines of coverage. Additional services like Cafeteria Plan administration are offered at deeply discounted rates.

All companies using the GET-Benefits system will be receiving a Compensation Disclosure Notice with their invoice. Click here to view the notice now!

Continued Growth For GET-Benefits

GET-Benefits has acquired nearly 2000 sq ft of additional office space to accommodate their continued growth. The company has been actively recruiting additional sales staff in anticipation of the new version of GET-Benefits, the industry leading online benefits administration system. Recent additions include two sales managers in Portland and a sales manager for their new operations in Southern Oregon. Additionally, a new administrative & marketing specialist has been added to the staff.

The much anticipated launch of the new GET-Benefits system has been slowed due to major advancements in the user interface that will enhance the ease of use and flexibility in the system.

GET-Benefits will add up to five additional sales managers in the next few months and will work on additional satellite operations over the next year.

The team name Maddie's Riders was coined by one very special rider. Here is a little bit more about her:

  • At the age of 3 years old Madeline was diagnosed with TYPE 1 diabetes.
  • Madeline is currently in 2nd grade at Forest Park Elementary and is 7 years old.

    Madeline is active in:
  • Softball
  • Basketball
  • Her favorite sport is Soccer

  • Madeline also enjoys raising money for her Summit to Surf Bike Ride each year. This will be her third year in riding. Her team last year raised the second largest amount of money of all the teams that rode in the Summit to Surf ride as well as having the largest number of riders participating in the ride. This year she hopes to have a 100 people ride with her on her team and be number one in fund raising.
  • Her biggest dream is to see a cure for diabetes that would prevent her from having 4 to 5 shots a day and having to worry about what she eats and when she eats.
