FIGHTING GANGS. L.A. City Controller Laura Chick discusses her citywide
anti-gang strategy at the Chamber's Board of Directors meeting Thursday at the Chamber. Chick talked about the importance of accountability and transparency. "We cannot arrest our way out of the problem," she said, explaining
that gang members need to be educated and trained, not merely sent away to jail. Above, Chamber Board Chair Tim McCallion, Verizon, listens to Chick.
