Quick News: Updates to MyTeamCaptain

MyTeamCaptain Technology Update 

A new era of team management has been launched with MyTeamCaptain.  We have completed the first round of integration of player stats, giving captains the ability to track all kinds of information about their players.

Remember - MyTeamCaptain is free to use, so tell your friends about us! 

1.  Individual player stats are live!  To add player stats to any game, simply click on the event in your Schedule (calendar) page and click on the "Manage Player Stats" link.  You will see an easy-to-use statistics manager there.

Season compilations of player statistics are viewable on the Active Teams page and on the fansite.

2.  More control over subs.  We expanded attendance management of substitute players to the Active Teams page and the Schedule (calendar) screens.  Captains can now set substitute players to attend or noshow to any event.

3.  New event type.  There is now a new event type called a "Bye Game", which allows you to enter a "bye" week game into your schedule.  This way, players don't wonder if they're missing anything on the schedule.

 4.  Watch us grow!  On the front page of MyTeamCaptain, you can see an up-to-the-hour tally of the size of the MyTeamCaptain community.

On the Burner

1.  Warm up your video cameras!  We're looking into some solutions for getting footage of your games onto your fansites.  Stay tuned for this exciting development!

2. AdCenter. We are working on a way for advertisers to place their ads on MyTeamCaptain. We are also looking to do some profit sharing with captains, so that if a team's players and fans click on links and generate revenue, the captain and the team can benefit.

3. Account expiration. We are going to write a script that deletes league and captain accounts that are inactive for a year.

4. Captains will be able to select if they would like attendance confirmation sent to them by SMS (text message to their cell phone).
