Cool new stuff from MyTeamCaptain
Well, it's been a month since our last update, and during that time, we've been investigating markets worldwide for better adoption of MyTeamCaptain technology. The good news is that MyTeamCaptain is growing -- we are now in every
English-speaking country in the world! We are building momentum and are constantly striving to create a better system for you. Be sure to spread the word and let your friends and colleagues know about MyTeamCaptain - use the
Send-to-a-Friend function at the bottom of this email.
MyTeamCaptain Technology Update
1. Items needed (a.k.a. "who's bringing the beer"). This upgrade has been requested by many of our users, and we have finally been able to make it happen in a seamless and user-friendly way. On
the schedule screen, captains can define what items will be needed for each event with a simple comma-separated list of those items.

New functions in the event pop-up
Once the items needed are defined, it's easy to update who is bringing what to the game (as you can see, the sample team is all about high quality refreshments). Players can also volunteer to bring any items that are not assigned
to someone when they confirm attendance to an event. This information will be sent along in the attendance confirmation emails captains can elect to receive on the Teams page.

Players can check and uncheck boxes to update what items they're bringing
2. Attendance limits on events. Continuing on in the tradition of customer-driven advancements at MyTeamCaptain, we have added an easy way to limit attendance to your events. You will find the
Max Attendees area in the event popup on the Schedules page (see the screenshot above). Once the attendance limit has been reached, any players attempting to add themselves to your events will be given a polite "this event is full"
message. MyTeamCaptain will also prevent captains from accidentally adding too many people to events in the calendar screen. Thanks to Jamie from Seattle for this suggestion!
3. Better handling of SMS messages. Previously, if an SMS message was over the standard limit of 158 characters, most mobile phone providers would send a truncated version of the message. We have fixed
this by breaking messages into 2 pieces, to ensure you get ALL of the information you need.
4. More information on Active Teams page. For team captains, the Active Teams page now will display the number of fansite comments awaiting approval, as well as the number of visitors to
your fansite for the day.
Quick Reminder for Team Captains
Remember to enter the scores from your games - the new MyTeamCaptain community wants to know about your victories, so enter your scores on the Schedule page and bask in the glory! And don't forget
to
tell your friends about MyTeamCaptain!
On the Burner
1. Private labeled solutions. We are working on the ability to private label the entire MyTeamCaptain system with all kinds of custom options to choose from.
2. We're looking into some solutions for getting footage and still images of your games onto your fansites. Stay tuned for this exciting development!
3. AdCenter. We are working on a way for advertisers to place their ads on MyTeamCaptain. We are also looking to do some profit sharing with captains, so that if a team's players and fans click on links and generate revenue, the captain
and the team can benefit.
Thank you!
As always, we appreciate any
feedback you have and hope that you are enjoying MyTeamCaptain! Stay tuned for more upgrades coming soon!
Until next time,
Lars and Rocky
