Straight Outta Tha Office
In the late 1980's, a brash, young, revolutionary rapper named Eazy-E changed the face of music. Along with visionaries Ice-T, Dr Dre, and some guy named Ren, he formed a movement toward harder-core music that spoke to people around
the world.
So what does the late Eazy-E have to do with MyTeamCaptain? Put simply, his fearless creativity serves as an inspiration to us. Not that we're into popping caps into anyone's backside. Rather, that we are on a mission to
revolutionize how organizational software can work. Faster, more intuitive, more powerful - we are not daunted by limitations that other, stodgier institutions would throw upon us.
To us, hard core programming means we can respond to any demand. We are young, agile, and changing the world, one team at a time. In this latest installation of the technology update newsletter, you will find a fundamental new
capability to use our system to schedule and manage appointments. Check it out and open your mind - you'll see how MyTeamCaptain's technology will revolutionize your life for the better!

Technology Update
1. New Weekly Calendar. A new option on the Schedule screen lets you view your events for the week. This is very helpful if you have lots of events happening on one day and want to see them broken out by hour more
accurately.

2. Two new team types. When you first started using MyTeamCaptain or a portal site, you probably thought about your teams like we did - organizing groups of people to show up to events. We talked to a few colleagues and
friends and realized this could be extended to manage appointments. We started with the medical and fitness markets, but you can do this for any business. On the Teams page, when you click on New Team, you have a couple new
team type options. Keep reading...
3. Specify attendees when creating events. Previously, you had to Modify an existing event to specify who was attending an event. Now you can enter the confirmed attendees when you create the new event.

4. Who gets the event reminder emails? With the new "Email Reminders to" function in Event Details, you have more flexibility in determining who gets automatic event reminder emails. Previously, they would only be
sent to your Active players or group members. By selecting the appropriate checkboxes, you can have automatic event reminders sent to your Substitutes/Reserve players and members, as well as Inactives.
There's also another important option, where you can select "Confirmed Attendees" for the reminder emails. This will send the reminder emails ONLY to people who have confirmed attendance.

5. SMS Reminders. Events can now also be set up to send out SMS (text message) reminder messages to confirmed attendees 2 hours before the event. If you want to be sure your event attendees don't forget, just set
this to "Yes".
6. Setting maximum attendees by season. You can now set the default maximum number of attendees for all events in a season in the Modify Season area on the Schedule/Calendar screen.

7. Putting it all together - creating appointment calendars. Scheduling one person to meet with you is now possible by integrating all of these pieces. The two new team types are designed for this purpose,
specifically targeting the medical and fitness industries. You can do this with any other team type, as well. Simply set your season's default maximum attendance to 1 person and event reminder emails to go only to Confirmed
Attendees. Then whenever you create an event, simply specify who is attending the event, and voila - everything is handled for you.
On the Burner
1. Launch of the two new portal sites, MyPracticeOrganizer.com and MyTrainerLink.com, which will focus on the new appointment management functions described in this newsletter.
2. AdCenter. All of the ads served on the MyTeamCaptain network are now using our new AdCenter. We're working on the interface for advertisers, so stay tuned for the beta release announcement!
