Evolution and Revolution
The new year began in our home city of San Diego quietly. We had a little rain, some snow fell on the mountains, and we were able to spend quality time with important friends and family. The various members of our (growing)
team, Jana, Michelle, Jerome, Greg, and of course, Rocky, all got a chance to breathe deeply and appreciate everyone that has helped us to date.
With the renewed energy that comes from a good holiday season, we have made a few small changes and a couple of really big changes that will make your life as a MyTeamCaptain (or partner site) user even better. Read on and see
how...
Technology Update
1. Daily Calendar. You can view your events in monthly, weekly, and now daily calendars. The daily calendar has two columns, which will allow you to see overlapping events. Navigation is assisted with a
3-month-viewable calendar on the left.

2. Right-Clicking. With the convenience of the weekly and daily calendars comes a faster way to create events. Right-click on any time slot in the weekly or daily calendars to create a new event at that specific time.
3. Normal Event Times. To make your weekly and daily calendars easier to use, you can specify the normal times you have events. This is especially useful for appointment calendars (most commonly used for
MyTrainerLink and MyPracticeOrganizer users, but also available to anyone that sets Default Max Attendance for events to one attendee). Set this by clicking "Modify Season" on the Schedule/Calendar page.

4. New Forum Post notifications. Forum users now have a convenient notifier on the Active Teams/Groups page and on the Forum page that lets you know when new posts have been made.

5. Contact Skills/Interests, Title, and Company fields. You now have a little more information you can store about each contact. This was done in response to requests from the more professional partner site users.
For those users, we have also limited the irrelevant fields (no one in your MyBandLink band really wants to know how much you weigh or your jersey number).
On the Burner
1. Our premium service level is coming soon! For a small monthly subscription, you will be able to do some pretty cool stuff.
2. AdCenter. All of the ads served on the MyTeamCaptain network are now using our new AdCenter. We're working on the interface for advertisers, so stay tuned for the beta release announcement!

Remember to enter the scores from your games - your team and the rest of the MyTeamCaptain
community wants to know about your victories, so enter your scores on the
Schedule page and bask in the glory!
Speaking of glory, or lack thereof, my hockey team (MyTeamCaptain users of course) recently played a team that had decided not to use MyTeamCaptain. Last week, said opposing team had to forfeit because
not everyone on the team got the message that the game time had been moved. Don't let this happen to you - spread the word about MyTeamCaptain so your opponents don't have to forfeit against your team. Stop forfeits - start
using MyTeamCaptain!
