The good news is that many of you don't have to buy a football team because you already have one! The bad news is that up until now, getting people to pay for events and seasons was another one of the big headaches that came with the
job of team captain. We've just completed some financial management functions that make your job as captain even easier. Event and season payments can now be tracked, and with the new Premium Account level, you can accept
credit cards as payment online!
Upgrade to Premium Account status on your My Account screen and start enjoying the benefits it provides!
Technology Update
1. New Premium Account. You can now sign up for the limited-time introductory rate of $4.95 per month to get premium service. Of course, you're probably thinking to yourself, "self, I get all these powerful
organizational features using MyTeamCaptain free, so why would I want to pay $4.95 a month?" Well, I'll tell you. There are a few key features that become available to Premium Account holders:

Accept payments for seasons or events online using PayPal

Import many contacts at once and automatically activate them onto a team

Specify your own subject line on emails you send out using the Active Teams page
Upgrade using the link on the My Account screen
2. Accept online payments for your seasons and events. Premium Accounts can easily have players and
group members pay for events and seasons with their
credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover). As a
captain/team leader, all you need is a Premier or Business PayPal account (it's
free). In each transaction, we will charge the player a $1 convenience fee (which we collect from the captain at the end of the month), along with
PayPal's transaction fees (2.9% + 30 cents), so you always get your fee
covered.
Players and team members will automatically be able to pay
online once the captain sets up a PayPal account
3. Set email subject line. Premium accounts can send emails that set their own subject lines.
On the Active Teams page, Premium Account holders can write their own subject lines when sending out emails to their teams
4. Track season and event payments. All users, Premium or Free Accounts, can now set Event and Season Fees and track them. In the Calendar area, you can set an Event
Fee in the event details, which is to be paid by all people who are attending the event. In the Players/Members screen, you can view the current status of any player or group member by clicking on the dollar sign for that person.

On the Burner
1. Hardware Upgrade. We're in the midst of a system-wide upgrade to our network and servers. Over the next few days there may be short, intermittent outages while we transition to the new system.
2. AdCenter. All of the ads served on the MyTeamCaptain network are now using our new AdCenter. We're working on the interface for advertisers, so stay tuned for the beta release announcement!
