Lesson #8.    Surveys

One of the most powerful tools in teamr is our Survey Builder, which can be accessed on the Forum page by looking for the  icon.  Survey questions will be stored in this section and this is where you will go to both modify questions and to view results.  Once the survey questions have been created in the Forum Section, you can send the Survey to your team by using the Email Quick Link from the Active Teams/Groups page

Surveys are a convenient way for you to get feedback from your Team. You can create as many questions as you like and link them together to create any size survey - from 1 question to 100, we have you covered!

Creating Questions:  Go to the Forum page and click on the  icon next to your Active Team.

Each survey question has the following components:

  • Code - this is your own unique identifier for this question to help you track it
  • Question Type - choose from 5 different question types
    • Multiple Choice - Choose One Answer
    • Multiple Answer - Choose One or More Answers
    • Rank Order - Have user rank their preference of listed choices
    • Text - Free form answer
    • Available Times - Great for meeting planning! (See Details Below)
  • Question - this is the question you will ask
  • Answers - these are the possible responses to the question
  • Next Question - if you want another question to follow this one, select it here
  • Keep Next Question on Same Page - set this to "Yes" if you want to have more than one question per page.  Some surveys don't like you to look ahead so this is where that is controlled.

Create and review your surveys in one place

You can always modify a question by choosing the usual edit icon (the pencil ).

Sending Surveys:  To send surveys to your Team, go to your Active Teams page and choose the Email Quick Link. After you have at least one survey defined, you will be able to check a box to include that survey in the email to your Team members.

  • Click the Email Quick Link
  • Choose who will receive the Survey
  • Type an introductory message with instructions or requirements
  • Check the Include Survey box and choose the question(s) you want included
  • Send the Email to your members
  • View the results graphically on the Forum page by choosing the Survey Icon
Specialty Survey Types

Surveying event attendees.  So you're going to have a party and you want to know what everyone wants to eat - we now have a simple solution for you!

Rather than sending an email survey after everyone has confirmed, this tool allows you to choose which survey questions you want your attendees to answer when you create the event.  Then, when invitees confirm attendance, they will automatically be given a link to take your survey.  Use this convenient tool to plan your upcoming events

So easy to do, and so powerful

"Available Times" Survey Question.
This survey type is certain to save you some of the back-and-forth you no doubt experience when trying to schedule meetings with your group.  Simply create an Available Times survey question and you'll see a consolidated report of who is available for your next meeting.  It's fast, it's simple, and it's collaborative - each survey responder will be able to see when everyone else is available.
