Going Green!
Lightspeed recently announced the launch of its "Go Green" initiatives. Lightspeed's goal is to reduce power consumption of its products while reducing environmental impact by eliminating hazardous substances from their electronic components and manufacturing processes. To further reduce environmental impact, Lightspeed is introducing a no cost, electronic recycling program to recycle its products that have reached the end of their useful life.

New Hybrid Speaker: MCQ
Lightspeed Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of the new MCQ Multimedia Ceiling Speaker. This innovative design uses two types of speaker technologies and sophisticated cross-over circuitry to provide an optimum combination of speech clarity, even sound distribution, and a rich 'full-range' sound for multimedia sources. Lightspeed has offered two types of speaker technology for many years, but the challenge from a Florida school district created the impetus to engineer a product that incorporated both speaker technologies into one, quick install unit. The district technology team appreciated how the flat panel speaker raised the intelligibility level of the teacher's voice, but with more multimedia in the classroom, they wanted to add a deeper, fuller sound that standard cone speakers provides.

Tips & Tricks
In an effort to provide even more value Lightspeed is proud to introduce the Warranty Exchange Program. The Warranty Exchange Program applies to all Lightspeed Infrared Products including existing warranties. The program is simple. Any product that is determined defective by a Lightspeed Service Technician will be advanced replaced. "Our service group brainstormed ideas of how we could minimize downtime for our customers" says Vicki Ogle, National Services Manager at Lightspeed "This was an idea that we felt would benefit the customer greatly and initial customer response has been very positive."
