Bending Wave Technology:
What is it?
|
|
The purpose of a classroom amplification system is to provide a high level of speech intelligibility and to distribute sound evenly throughout the learning environment. This is where bending wave technology and the flat panel speaker come
into play.
The flat panel speaker, by NXT, centers on the mid and high frequencies that are critical to speech intelligibility. The flat panel speaker projects sound via thousands of random vectors which create a surround sound effect. This type of
speaker technology is perfect for today's classrooms. Numerous studies indicate that when children are able to clearly hear the spoken instruction, learning improves and higher academic success is achieved.
LightSPEED continues to be the sole provider of NXT technology in the education market, most recently utilized in the ‘all-in-one' REDCAT system.

Audiologist Speaks:
"Compounding Changes"
|
|
Dear LightSPEED,
At the present time we have a specific school that is using amplification in almost every classroom. The changes in the school have been compounding. We have several different LightSPEED amplification systems in the school, but
have most recently added the REDCAT and the new indestructible pendant microphone. The REDCAT offered something that other companies haven't been able to –an all-in-one system – with only one speaker that fills the room with equal sound.
It is a high quality product and makes great fiscal sense!
