Here we are in the heat of the year-end race. Many of you are gearing up for holiday sales, end-of-year business goals and increased revenue from your CoolerEmail campaigns. So what are some sure-fire ways to create lists that perform
better? Look beyond just sending a blanket newsletter.... Send specific, relevant content to sub-sets of your list of subscribers. The more focused the message, the closer you are to communicating with your subscribers on a one-to-one
basis!
Tip o' the Month
Build a Targeted List from Campaign Results.
Did you know that you can build a targeted list from the Tracking Stats page? If you open the results page and click on the individual tracking links for links that people clicked on, you can build a new list on the fly that is targeted
just to those that took a specific action.
Imagine being able to rapidly send an email based solely on the success of the last campaign and catering to only those who have expressed interest in certain items and/or solutions. You will see remarkable results - results that out
perform your standard "to everyone" blast campaigns. Take a chance and use this tip to drive targeted emails to those who are most likely to act and convert.
Tip o' the Month 2
The Opt in Solution
Every CoolerEmail client surely knows that when using our system, emails MUST be opt-in only. As long as you are using the CoolerEmail email sign-up forms on your website, the record-keeping for your subscriber list is easy - we
automatically stamp each sign-up record with a Date Stamp, Time Stamp, IP Address and the exact webpage they are signing up from. But what about those leads you collect offline? Can you send them an email?
CAN SP@M compliance from the FTC dictates that people can be emailed once and asked to opt in if you have an existing business relationship with them. Now this means that if you send them an email, you need to have an opt in form that
allows them to join a list.
And how can you best document an existing relationship? When you add people manually to the MasterCRM, use the NOTES field to add a location of opt in (i.e. National Trade Show Booth) and a date and time of this event. This is an
industry-adopted best practice that you and your team should follow.
Take the high road. Remember, you don't just have a some bland, generic list of subscribers... you have a list of COOLER subscribers - and they should be treated that way!

New CoolerEmail Features |
 |
More new features? That's right - our world-renowned technical team has once again added some super-cool features and functions to the award-winning CoolerEmail system.
1.Share Document Libraries with Others
We have just completed a new function that is especially helpful for
CoolerEmail VARs (Value Added Resellers). You can see it in any account under My Account - Update Account. (in the right hand column) Turn it on by clicking the checkbox for "Allow Sharing of Specified Document Library Files".
This will activate a new set of functions in your Document Library. You will see that you can share files with individual usernames, or if you are in the VAR Portal account, you can share a file with all accounts in your VAR (similar to
the Template Library). Once a file has been shared, it will show up in the Document Library and in the Edition Editor screens.
2. New Easy-Add Feature to MasterCRM
When you are viewing a contact in the Master CRM (either the "Edit" view or the "View" view), there is a new button called "Add Copy" that will show up under the "Add New" button. This "Add Copy" button will take the user to the standard
"Add New" screen for a adding a new contact to the Master CRM, except fields will be filled in with data that came from the original contact that was being viewed.
3. Expandable Templates and Dynamic Articles
For those of you who create your own templates for the CoolerEmail system we have added a new feature for dynamic section targeting if you have built and expandable template. If you are unfamiliar with expandable templates, you can build a
template and add repeatable sections and articles to each edition you build. So in building a template once, you have the ability to change the number of articles in the editor from 1-20 articles - a great way to make the template usable
by everyone in your organization!
The dynamic aspect of this is the new "Show This Section To..." area that will present itself at the top of each article in an expandable template. This give you the ability to target who within your Master CRM or list gets each article.
And example of this could be by State, User Type, Zip, Member level or anything else you have in your MasterCRM.
For more information on this topic see the Knowledge Base in your CoolerEmail account, always available under the Help tab once you log in to your account. |

Using the List Builder to Segment |
 |
When you create a new list, are you importing a list everytime, or are you leveraging the power of the MasterCRM and past campaigns to build targeted lists each time? In the middle column of the NEW LIST page, you have the ability to draw
contacts for the list from demographic information in the MasterCRM or add actions from past campaigns to the list segmentation criteria.
An example of this could be to build a list based on the results of who clicked on a past successful campaign and target by up to three other "if-then" rules for other campaigns. So if you wanted to grab everyone that click on links last
month in the CoolerEmail newsletter and build a list that was just targeted to those that are Cooler clients and not just newsletter subscribers, you could.
This is a powerful feature that allows you to really target your campaigns and focus on those that are more apt to take advantage of a call to action in the campaigns you build. And, it is easy to use - it is built in such a way that
everyone using CoolerEmail can rapidly build a campaign that is focused with laser-precision. |

Creating Multiple Touch Points |
 |
So you are getting opt in emails using the
CoolerForms system. But what are you doing to lessen the amount of work you have to do to reach out to these people after they subscribe? We suggest that when they subscribe, you have set up a series of relevant emails that target the
person over a few week or month period. Not just sending them your newsletters or offers, but targeting them with a series of focused email campaigns that really give this person content they can benefit from and thus strengthening your
relationship.
The Cooler Event Sequencer™ enables subscribers to pre-program sequences of emails. For example:
Day 1: Thank you for meeting...
Day 7: One week follow-up...
Day 21: Three week follow-up with special offer...
Basically, here's how it works:
After logging in, go to Master CRM >
Utilities >
Define Event Sequences where you can set up a series of emails, each defined by the number of days' delay before the next email is delivered. Once you have defined an Event Sequence, you can apply it to any or all of your contacts. Here
are just a few examples of how the Cooler Event Sequencer is making business communication cooler:
Dentists can schedule automatic 6-month check-up reminder emails for their patients.
Veterinarians can set up one series of emails for their clients who own dogs and another series of emails for clients who own cats.
Car dealerships can set-up one series of emails for clients who have purchased new cars with prescribed maintenance check-ups at certain points in time (e.g., initial six month check-up) and another series of emails for clients with leases
(e.g., your lease term is set to expire in 3 months---please stop in so we can renew the lease).
To take advantage of Cooler Event Sequencer, simply choose a sequence for one of your contacts and click the "Assign" button and - viola - all of the pre-programmed emails in the chosen sequence will show up in the contact's Pending Events
list and be delivered automatically.
What are YOU going to use it for?
For more information on Event Sequencing see the Knowledge Base in your CoolerEmail account or
learn about it here. |
