Thank you for spreading the "Cooler" word |
 |
2005 was an outstanding year for CoolerEmail. We added more features, more servers and more clients than any other company in the industry. Perhaps the most remarkable statistic, however, is that we did all of that without any
advertising whatsoever other than a few token search engine adwords. In other words, we owe a hearty "thank you" to you - our clients - for spreading the "cooler" word!
As this year progresses, if you hear that any of your friends and/or colleagues are looking for the best email platform at the most affordable price, please encourage them to take a
free CoolerEmail test-drive! so that they too can start enjoying the fruits of successful email campaigns!
We appreciate the feedback we get from our valued clients and are continually improving our industry-leading email marketing platform. We are committed to helping you and your company reach the goals you have for your email marketing
campaigns, newsletters and one-to-one communications. |

New Templates Arriving |
 |
We have been hard at work developing a new series of proprietary email templates to help your email marketing efforts. These new templates, created by a leading design firm in the country, will be available soon within the Cooler Template
Library!
Many of you either upload your own HTML or have
created your own templates using our the guide in the Template Library section of the system. For those of you that are using the default templates, you will love these - they are simple to use yet flexible enough to allow you to
effortlessly prepare top-notch email marketing campaigns.
New Feature:
We just added a function to the Template Library that allows the template developer to give the user a place to insert a color. This way, the template developer can set up a way for the CoolerEmail user to specify an article or text color
inside the template (previously, all colors had to be hardcoded into the template). If you work with templates, you are sure to enjoy this feature (the feedback from our beta-testers was extraordinarily positive)! |

March Articles of Interest |
 |
In light of all the news circulating about a proposed AOL/Goodmail/Yahoo plan, we thought it would be good for you to get up to speed. In a nutshell, the top thinkers in the industry are of the opinion that the proposed system will not
replace existing delivery systems, but could offer an "pay for delivery" email system that may be of some interest to clients with unique business needs. It is of course uncertain when (or even if) such a system would be widely embraced.
But, please rest easy, as we have confirmed with the leading ISPs that are committed to keeping the same practices/standards (which we use to guarantee our clients the best deliverability in the industry) in place for years to come!

Email and RSS - Why you should have both! |
 |
RSS news readers are becoming quite popular (see
Google Reader and
Attensa). Indeed, we served as a guidepost for the industry in December 2004 by adding RSS to the
CoolerEmail platform. We like to help our clients stay ahead of the curve! Some ESPs are finally getting around to adding it now and hyping it like the invent of electricity (some going so far as to suggest that they invented the RSS
tool!) and more and more of our clients are using the tool (to activate RSS in a newsletter, you simply have to check a box on the list settings page to automatically make a newsletter an RSS feed as well). Consequently, we see the trend
of the consumer adoption of RSS continuing.
RSS gives people options of how they want to interact with your brand online. Now isn't that what it is about, giving people options? We think so. RSS is currently used by approximately just 10% of the online population... but it will be
increasing! We encourage you to test it out with your lists and campaigns to see how well it can work for you.
With testing to your lists, educating them about the availability of RSS and adding it to your subscription forms, newsletters and sites, you are taking the high road of being an early adopter. In any month, a typical mid-sized client has
seen 35-40 new RSS subscribers a day to their email newsletter, and many of these are the same people who also subscribe to the non-RSS newsletter as well. The read rates have remained steady (as have click-throughs) but website
interaction has substantially increased during times the client is only sending the RSS newsletter.
Based on various client success stories, we would encourage you to please consider testing RSS as an addition to your regular email campaigns.
