Community Cycling Center's HOLIDAY BIKE DRIVE| Portland - Vancouver

The Community Cycling Center is making dreams come true for 1,000 deserving little tykes this holiday season and they need your help!   1,000 bikes have been donated but not all of the children have been sponsored.   Sponsorship covers the cost of repairing the bikes (new tires, seats, making the bikes safe)   and throwing a fabulous holiday party for the kids.   For just $50, you can make a child's dream come true.   Please sponsor a child today and spread the word!   Donations of any amount are accepted through January 15th.

PORTLAND BIKECRAFT FAIR | Portland - December 7th

bunnies on bikesThe BikeCraft Faire features local, handmade, bike-themed art and crafts from a variety of artists.   Show your true bikey stripes and give the gift of bike crafts this holiday season while supporting local bike artists.   This event is hosted in tandem with the annual Winter Social of Shift, an organization that promotes Portland's creative bike culture.  A bike art making station, activities for kids, live music by the Trash Mountain Boys, bike films and much more. Urban Grind, NE 22nd and Oregon, 4:00-8:00 pm.

ALICE B. TOECLIPS AWARDS | Nominations Deadline: 1/10/06

The Alice B. Toeclips Awards are the Bicycle Transportation Alliance's (BTA) way of recognizing bike advocates throughout Oregon. They are currently looking for nominations of individuals, businesses, government agencies or other groups who have provided inspiration to cyclists.
