THE aMAZEing HALLOWEEN RIDE | Portland - October 9

Get lost in the corn with a bunch of bikers.   Join us on a FREE beautiful 26 mile fall ride to the Corn Maize on Sauvie Island - an annual Portland tradition. $5 maze entry (special cyclist discount).   Bring your lunch or money for lunch at the delicious Pumpkin Patch Cafe.   Pumpkin picking, snaking through the maze, and a great ride to Sauvie Island. This ride starts and ends at the Peninsula Park gazebo on N. Ainsworth and N. Albina, just half mile from the MAX.   Meet at 10:00 am.   Return at 3:00 pm.   Bring a trailer if you want to get pumpkins.   Bikes shoes are NOT RECOMMENDED for the maze.

HARVEST CENTURY | October 16th - Champoeg State Park

Celebrate the coming of fall with a century - the 3rd Annual Harvest Century. Traverse rolling hills through falling autumn leaves and submerge yourself in the gorgeous Oregon countryside. The Harvest Century circles Chehalem mountain and crosses the Willamette with a peaceful ride on the Canby ferry.

 

Ride at your own pace on the challenging 102 or 75 mile routes or a less intense 40 mile option. The $30 registration fee includes a delicious hot lunch provided by Chipotle, water, snacks, energy drinks, rest stops, light mechanical support from the Bike Gallery and the opportunity to win cool prizes while playing the Harvest Poker game. OBRA members receive a $5 discount. This event is a benefit for the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

BEND'S BIG FAT TOUR | Mt. Bachelor - October 14-16

Experience three days of excellent riding at Mt. Bachelor, complete with guides, aid stations and a rider party on Saturday night.   Perfect for riders of all skill levels.   In this world of ever-increasing technological overload, the organizers of the Big Fat Tour have carved out a little time for you to just RIDE.   A portion of the proceeds benefits trail maintenance and advocacy.

FLYING M RANCH HALLOWEEN CROSS FESTIVAL | Yamhill - October 30

Race or watch the racers in costumes at the Halloween Cross Festival.   The Cross Crusade Race Series #4 starts at 9:00 am.   New categories: Masters Category C 35+ and Junior Women.   A Kiddie Kross for tykes under 12 starts at 12:00.   All bikes are legal - Mountain bikes, 'cross, fixed gear, cruisers, unicycles, etc. - but take heed: courses will favor those on 'cross bikes so choose your weapon wisely!
