PORTLAND CENTURY | August 26 - Portland |
 You deserve to be treated to the best organized ride, with delicious rest stops, excellent support and fun Portland
highlights along the way. That's why if you're serious about your love of bikes, you need to catch the Portland Century. From top to bottom, this is an exceptional ride. With 100, 50 and 25 miles, you've got three great routes to choose
from. The 25 is relatively flat, the 50 is a nice intermediate ride and the full century is a lush, gorgeous course along fern-lined roads with incredible views of Mt. Hood and some rewarding climbs. Each route features frequent rest
stops stocked with delicious foods including fresh berry smoothies made with a bike-powered blender, burritos, Hot Lips Pizza, energy bars and more.
But that's not all. The finish line features a gourmet meal with fresh line-caught wild salmon, local and seasonal foods and yummy dessert. You'll enjoy your dinner under the shady tree canopy of the PSU gardens while being serenaded by a
string quartet and waited on by a crew of volunteers. Achy muscles? Don't worry, head on over to the massage therapists where they'll work you straight into a state of bliss. Your take home goodie bags will be stuffed with smoked wild
salmon, beer, coffee and more.

HEALTH NET PORTLAND TWILIGHT CRITERIUM | August 24 - Portland |
 Come watch the area's fastest cyclists compete for the region's biggest purse in the Health Net Portland Twilight Criterium.
The course's new location surrounds the North Park Blocks of downtown Portland, creating an island oasis of 360-degree viewing, music, food and beverages.
There's always fast-paced excitement for cyclists and spectators alike along the race's highly technical course. Get close enough to the action to feel the wind from racers rushing by as they complete each half-mile lap in just over one
minute.
This free event features live music, great food and drink - making it a perfect Friday night activity for families and cycling enthusiasts. Head to downtown and experience the excitement yourself. Volunteers are needed, see the website

PORTLAND TRIATHLON | September 2 - Portland |
 The Oregon Trout City of Portland Triathlon is excited to unveil the first triathlon ever held in downtown Portland. The
Olympic-distance race offers individuals and relays the chance to compete through city streets on well-supported, fast-paced, spectator-friendly courses completely closed to traffic.
This race is committed to sustainable practices. Throughout all stages of planning and execution, the organizers recognize that a healthy body and a sharp mind go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility. Their equipment
is recycled, the food is organic and composted and the products and materials come from local sources.
The Portland Triathlon is the first race in the country to host a medical tent with naturopathic services. Race shirts and bike racks will be made of bamboo and athletes will finish beneath an arch made of living plants and created by a
local artist.
There are also incentives for traveling to the race by public transportation. At the finish line, Sassparilla Jug Band will perform next to the Deschutes Brewery beer tent.

BIKE TO THE FUTURE | September 16 - Portland |
 Ride, explore then ride some more. The Coalition for a Livable Future (CLF) invites you to join them as they tour projects
that enhance the quality of life for future generations of Portlanders. And what better way to see the sites than by bicycle?
Bike to the Future is a tour of urban sustainability by bicycle. The 28 mile route is relatively flat and takes you to interactive destinations where you will learn about affordable and sustainable housing, green building, smart urban
design, community gardens, urban ecology, local food, alternative transportation and other elements of a vibrant, livable community.
This ride is fully supported and includes course markings, printed ride guides, support vehicles, mechanical and medical aides on course, water and nutritional snacks at rest stops, a finish line festival, dinner and much more. The easy
route has many relaxing stops along the way and is perfect for riders of all skill levels.

HARVEST CENTURY | October 7 - St. Paul |
 They really saved the best for the last organized ride of Oregon's cycling season. At the 5th Annual Harvest Century riders
choose from three looped routes originating from Champoeg State Park. Pumpkins mark the way to a day filled with beautiful scenery, unrivaled support, friendly volunteers, and a toe-tappin' party featuring live music from Back Porch
Revival and The Mighty Filberts, cold beer from Rogue Ales, hot burritos from Taco Del Mar and a huge caramel apple to sink your teeth into. Here's what one rider had to say after finishing last year's event:
