REACH THE BEACH | May 19 - Oregon |
Reach the Beach, well known for its beautiful routes through rural Oregon, continues to add new, exciting features every
year. This year they've added a 110 mile Corvallis Challenge. This distance route will take you along winding roads through a gorgeous region of Oregon. The quiet rural route will meander through Oregon wine country along the way to Cape
Kiwanda in Pacific City where a Finish Line Beach Party, and your pint of Pelican Pub beer, awaits. That's right, a party directly on the beach, as in sink-your-toes-in-the-sand. You're going to love it.
Reach the Beach is the major fundraiser for the American Lung Association of Oregon. Every pedal stroke helps promote clean Oregon air and lung health. There's an easy-to-achieve $50 fundraising minimum and if you're a motivated
fundraiser you may qualify for amazing prizes - including a pass to the sold out Cycle Oregon, a Trek bike, REI panniers - and the great feeling of knowing you're supporting the Lung Association.

THE GORGE RIDE | June 16 - The Dalles |
Get on your bike and experience the "King of Roads", the Historic Columbia River Highway (HCRH), America's first scenic
highway. The Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway, a recently formed nonprofit organization, has put together this ride that starts from the Gorge Discovery Center in The Dalles, travels along the majestic road and the HCRH State
Trail. The ride goes as far as the Senator Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead near Hood River then returns to the start. This route with world-class scenery is a combination of historic highway that is open to motor vehicles and the quiet
HCRH State Trail that is open only to hikers and cyclists.
Highlights of the 38.5 mile ride include the breathtaking panorama at Rowena Crest, an exclusive visit to the grounds of the historic Mayerdale Estate and a remarkable journey through the restored Mosier Twin Tunnels. This is a fully
supported ride and a fundraising event for the Friends.

BLACK ROCK SHUTTLE DAY | June 2 - Falls City |
How about a day of downhilling/freeriding as much as you can, over and over again, with a shuttle to drive you to the top of
some great trails? That's what the organizers of the Black Rock Shuttle Day Fundraiser have planned. This event is a benefit for the Black Rock Mountain Bike Area and proceeds will go toward trail maintenance.
Lunch is provided. You can check out a map online in advance to see how great the riding is, but trust us, you're going to like this one. But there's one catch: They only have room for 120 riders. Slots are filling up fast and there is
no registration on the day of the event. Register today to guarantee a spot on the shuttle and a full day of riding as much as you can handle.
