Reach the Bridge | Sunday, June 29 – Portland, OR |
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stand right in front of a drawbridge while it raises before your eyes?
Now is your chance with this reverse-timed run. Reach the Bridge, a benefit for the American Lung Association of Oregon deviates from the standard race style of everyone starting at the same time and finishing at different times.
Instead, you pick your start time (as late as you dare!) and race against the clock to cross the Burnside Bridge before it rises at exactly 9 am.
Starting at the World Forestry Center, the beautiful 8k course takes you through the paved roads of Forest Park, down a closed Burnside Street and over the famous Burnside Bridge. You've probably already figured out that it's a super-fast
course…it's ALL DOWNHILL! You can also opt to run or walk a 2k course – great for kids and running with a stroller. Come be a part of Portland's most unique 8k personal challenge run and an awesome finish line festival. Remember, the
bridge raises at 9 am sharp – which side will you be on?

Eugene Marathon | Sunday, May 4 – Eugene, OR |
Run in the footsteps of legends during this nationally recognized marathon! Awarded one of the Top 10 Best New
Marathons in 2007 by Runner's World, the Eugene Marathon is looking to make your experience even better than last year. The new and improved course takes runners through 12 different parks on a very flat, fast and scenic route that winds
around the beautiful Willamette River. Each mile is dedicated to one of 26 Eugene track legends who have made a significant impact on the running community. To finish, all runners end up in front of the impressive Autzen Stadium.
Runners won't just be focused on the beauty of the course: this marathon hosts over 20 live music stations featuring rock, jazz, funk and reggae and with artists coming from as far as Seattle. In addition to the on-course music, hoards of
fans will line the course to cheer you along. If running a full marathon isn't your thing, you can run the half-marathon or 5k race instead.

Cinco de Mayo | Sunday, May 4 – Portland, OR |
Not a lot of people know that Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the
Battle of Puebla. But the Cinco de Mayo 5k and 10k honor just that! A benefit for the Foundation of Retinal Research, this fast growing event is a great way to kick-start your running season. Both races start in downtown Portland and
wind along the scenic waterfront, with the 10k continuing on to Barbur Blvd.
After completing your run, don't forget to hang out and eat the tasty treats from Azteca Mexican restaurants, enjoy the beer garden, and dance to a live mariachi band! This is fun for the whole family, all while helping a great cause!
