JACKSON'S RIDE THE GORGE | JULY 18 - Hood River |
Formed by ancient volcanoes and sculpted by incredible floods, the Columbia River Gorge carves a spectacular corridor through
the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and Washington as the great river journeys to the Pacific Ocean. Every year thousands of people flock to the region to drive along scenic roads, but we know the best way to experience this majestic beauty
is with your hands on the handlebars and two wheels whirring quietly under you.
Jackson's Ride the Gorge offers an opportunity to explore with incredible support. Rest stops every 15 miles along the well-planned route will keep you fueled with delicious treats. Take in the beauty, stop for photos and chat along
the way; clear course markings will easily guide you and your friends so you can thoroughly relax and enjoy the ride. And with mechanical support, medical support and support vans throughout the course, you won't have to worry about a
thing as you cross bridges and traverse both sides of the river.
Jackson's Ride the Gorge, a benefit for the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation, has an awesome 14-mile family ride, a 50-mile course and a full 100-mile course. The finish line party takes place at the Western Antique Aeroplane &
Automobile Museum amid one of the nation's largest collections of unique flying aircraft, with free museum admission, music, a great finish line lunch and free beer.

URBAN ASSAULT RACE | MAY 31 - PORTLAND |
Beer, bikes and big wheels will hit the streets of Portland for the New Belgium Brewing Urban Assault Ride tour - the biggest

The Portland event, one of four stops around the country, benefits the Bicycle Transportation Alliance and the winning team will take home a pair of Fat Tire cruisers. The festivities kick off at 9am in Pioneer Courthouse Square. The
after party gets going around 11am with free New Belgium beer (for riders), Whole Foods grub and lots of prizes from Keen footwear, Clif Bar, SWOBO and Rudy Project. Get your kooky and funky on - head on out for a day of laughter and

RACING FANS SAVE THE TWILIGHT CRIT | You can help too |
Portland is a world-class cycling city, well known for smart planning, innovative projects and thousands of people happily
commuting to work Ð rain or shine. So it seems fitting that we have a world-class bicycle street race - the Portland Twilight Criterium - that draws professional racers from around the country. 15,000 spectators flock to downtown
Portland for a night of fast-paced racing action in a festival-like atmosphere around the North Park Blocks every year in early August.
But this year, as the title sponsor bowed out in light of severe budget cuts, the Portland Twilight Criterium was facing cancellation. Determined not to let that happen, local race fans have stepped up to bring in the support of
their businesses, including local attorneys who specialize in bicycle law, bike shops and Subaru of America. In their effort to rescue this popular event, these businesses have banded together to raise the necessary funds. Their
admirable work is not over, and additional sponsors are still needed.
Amazing things happen here in Portland Ð success, creativity, forward thinking. In keeping with this spirit, the organizers hope additional businesses will come out as race fans too and help bring professional racing to Downtown
Portland this summer. For more information on how you or your business can be involved, contact Tom@GoodSportPromotion.com.

SUNDAY PARKWAYS | This summer - Portland |
The City of Portland is opening streets to walking, bicycling, rolling, and roller blading - without having to watch out for
cars! Sunday Parkways, sponsored by ORbike, are 7-8 mile "temporary parks" along city streets connecting neighborhoods and residents in Portland. After the overwhelming success of last year's event, this summer there will be three events:
June 21 (North Portland), July 19 (Northeast Portland) and August 16 (Southeast Portland).
Sunday Parkways gives you a chance to get out and be active in the neighborhood. Parks along the route feature activities, workshops, entertainment and food as the event celebrates Portland as a walkable and bikeable city.
Volunteers and donors are still needed to make the event successful. Volunteers help staff intersections and ensure that residents along the course can safely and easily get to and from their homes.
