HARVEST CENTURY | October 8, Champoeg State Park |
Reward yourself with crisp air, sunshine and a picturesque landscape washed in autumn's richest colors at the 4th Annual
Harvest Century. Each route - 45, 75, or 105-miles - features elevation gains of approximately 2,300 ft. Follow the pumpkins that mark your way for a day filled with beautiful scenery, unrivaled support, friendly volunteers and a
toe-tappin' party to celebrate the end of another great Oregon cycling season.
Great benefits include a coupon for 50% off a bike tune up at Performance Bike and/or winter drive train cleaning. A few lucky riders will also receive Rolling Poker prizes from local companies. No need to worry about sore muscles
preventing you from enjoying the finish line hoe-down, five massage therapists will be on hand as soon as you hop off your bike. Your last chance for an organized ride this year is fast approaching! Pre-registration closes at midnight on
October 5 and is the only way guarantee entry into the event. Limited registration will be available on the morning of the event at 7:45.
The Harvest Century is a Smith & Miller Production, a local company owned and operated by two caffeine-driven moms (with four little ones under the age of four) who love cycling and supporting a good cause. Enjoy the Harvest Century and
share their passion for the saddle and this community.

RIDE THROUGH PARADISE | October 7, Klamath Falls |
If you can't make it to the Harvest Century or if you just need a little pre-ride warm up, CASA for Children of Klamath County
has organized a four-route ride (100, 62, 25 and 10 miles) that winds through beautiful rustic countryside along the seldom-traveled roads of Klamath Falls. All proceeds will benefit the CASA, a program that trains volunteers to advocate
for foster children.
With beautiful scenery, well marked courses, exceptionally low-traffic country roads, rest stops stocked with homemade baked goods and post-ride lunch, those shorter routes make a great warm up for the Harvest Century the next day. The
organizers added a 10-mile route this year to encourage little tykes who are new to cycling. Free camping is available at the starting point.

CYCLOCROSS | Sundays, Around Portland |
Whether you're on the sidelines or on the course, you're going to get muddy at cyclocross - and that's part of the beauty of
it. A great culture has developed around this blossoming autumnal sport that makes it equally entertaining for both spectators and racers, no matter the weather. So slip on your boots (for plodding through the mud) and grab your cowbell
(for ringing) and head on out to the Alpenrose Dairy this Sunday for the first race of the Cross Crusade Series. The Beginners and Masters 50+ categories starts at 9 am and the last race of the day is at 2 pm.
Other cyclocross races are popping up around the state. Stay tuned into our blog for all the season's info.
