Hagg Lake Tri & Du | Saturday, July 11 – Forest Grove |
What started as one of the stops on the six-city Bud Light Triathlon Series tour back in 1982 has now become an event that
is known for its race history, scenic beauty and challenge. This year marks the 26th anniversary for the Hagg Lake Triathlon, but not much has changed since the 80's – the water is still wet and the bike course is still difficult.
The Olympic distance course starts with a 1500 meter triangular swim with water temperatures in the mid 70's. The challenging bike course involves many rolling hills while completing two counter-clockwise loops around the lake. Both loops
will include a two mile out-and-back section on Scoggins Valley Road. At this point, all that keeps you from the finish is a 6.2 mile scenic run along the lakeside road. Other course options include a sprint triathlon and a duathlon.
Awards will be handed out during a post-race ceremony in a variety of categories. You can register online or at packet pickup at the Athlete's Lounge in Portland on July 10. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt, ChampionChip™
Timing, awards and prizes, post race refreshments, music, plus lots of fun and camaraderie.

Mt. Tabor Doggie Challenge | Saturday, July 18 – Portland OR |
For those of us who own dogs, we all know how fun it can be to go on a run with our favorite four-legged friend, but
rarely do we get to run in an organized event with them. Enter the Mt. Tabor Doggie Challenge! In it's 7th year, this event offers a great way to spend the day in one of Portland's most spectacular parks, with friends and family, and of
course, Sparky.
A benefit for the Oregon Humane Society, this event has two course options to choose from – an 8k and a 5k. Either way, both routes show off some of the best scenery around with views of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and downtown Portland.
You won't have to worry about overheating either, as the course has you running along the beautiful and shaded tree-lined roads within Mt. Tabor Park. Make sure to partake in the awesome after-party complete with live music, a picnic
lunch, and much more!

Deschutes Dash | July 18 - 19 – Bend |
Get your family and friends to come watch you do your best at this very spectator friendly venue. The Deschutes Dash will
include a full weekend of activities, including an Olympic Tri and Du, a Sprint Tri and Du, a 10k and 5k run, and a Kid's Splash ‘n Dash. All of these races are fundraisers for the Working Wonders Children's Museum, which provides
hands-on learning experiences that are critical to childhood development.
If you are planning on participating in the Triathlon, get ready for a unique, down current swim in the beautiful Deschutes River. (Wetsuits are recommended.) The bike course is an out and back course with a slight incline on the way out
and a slight descent on the back. When it's time for the run, you'll be on a combination surface of paved and packed dirt. The good news is that there is virtually no elevation gain. Overall, this is a great course for athletes of all
levels. Remember those friends and family that came to watch you? The festive post-race party is a chance for everyone to hang out with great food, free beer, and live music.

Lacamas Lake Half Marathon and Four Miler | Sunday, July 26 - Camas, WA |
This event is a real treat if you have not yet participated before. Praised for its organization and scenery, this half
marathon has been recognized as one of the most beautiful courses in the region. Even though it's only twenty-five minutes from downtown Portland, you'll feel like you've escaped into the heart of nature.
The half marathon begins at Camas High and proceeds northwest around the beautiful lake, which provides for a very serene setting. You will then run or walk along the part-paved, part-trail course to catch views of the Camas Meadows Golf
Course and the magnificent Mt. Hood on the southern shore of the lake. If you're not quite ready for a half, there is a four-mile option around Round Lake as well. New this year is an inflatable jungle gym at the finish for both adults
and kids, including an obstacle course, four sport zone and a velcro wall. Also waiting for you at the finish will be fruit, bottled water, bagels and food from the Old Spaghetti Factory, as well as a wide variety of product vendors for
you and your friends and family to enjoy!
