Whether you donate $25 or $250, your gift will save and rebuild lives in Oregon. Lives like that of Sharon Wood, who returned home from vacation to see her home burned to the ground. Wood's niece and nephew immediately jumped into action, calling the Red Cross for help.

Within hours, the family had warm beds in a nearby motel, hot meals and funds for clothing to replace what had been destroyed. For the children, diapers filled a practical need while stuffed animals provided comfort in the face of tragedy.

Haiti Relief: A Global Red Cross Effort

The scope and abilities of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network are on display as never before in Haiti.

More than 430 Red Cross and Red Crescent workers from at least 30 countries are in the country supporting thousands of local volunteers.

Red Cross responders are treating 500 people each day at medical facilities throughout the capital city. Other teams are focused on purifying the water supply and delivering clean drinking water to 400,000 people each day.
