Cardiac arrest has been hitting the headlines, taking the life of an international pop star and a local student athlete. Now, more than ever, we at the Oregon Trail Chapter urge you to learn CPR and how to use an AED.

The good news? All you need is an internet connection.

Whether you're a first-timer or just in need of a refresher, you can now take CPR, AED and first aid courses online - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - at:

www.oregonredcross.org/onlinetraining

You might not think you have the time to learn life-saving skills. But with Red Cross training online 24/7, you can take a course at your own pace. While the training takes from two to four hours to complete, you can start and stop the course at your convenience, taking up to 14 days to finish.

Following the online portion, you'll demonstrate what you've learned at a brief hands-on skills session at our headquarters. This allows you to hone your skills with the help of an authorized American Red Cross instructor before receiving certification.

There are no more excuses for busy schedules - now's the time for you to learn the skills to save a life.
