Economic Impact Study Launches SAO Legislative Agenda

A recent economic impact study revealed the clout of software-related industries. The data will be used to drive policy initiatives by the SAO Advocacy Committee to repeal the corporate kicker, create a loan program for small businesses and establish a payroll-based tax credit for certain businesses.

Why Won't Oregon Invest in Itself?

The Oregonian recently covered the Oregon Investment Fund, saying: "Four years after the Legislature pushed the state-run pension fund to plow $100 million into Oregon-based business startups, only $7 million has found its way into businesses and just a fraction of that into businesses in Oregon."
