The Chamber team listens carefully to our near 3,000 members across the region and turns this input into advocacy and action to ensure that a business perspective is considered on any local, state and federal regulations.  The Chamber's policy committee process is carefully designed to help Chamber members get involved in this important process.

Each of the Chamber's eleven policy committees is responsible for a policy area of particular importance to the regional business community. The various committees meet monthly (or more often if necessary) to examine and take positions on issues that affect the region. Each committee's recommendations are passed on to the Chamber Board of Directors for additional review, discussion and formal adoption.  After a policy is adopted, the Chamber disseminates the information to the Chamber of Commerce membership and begins to discuss the positions with the appropriate officials.

All San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce members are welcome to join policy committees that are relevant to their expertise and the needs of their companies.  We are currently looking for additional volunteers to join the following committees (click on the link for details):

International/Mexico Business Committee

Seller Beware!

There is a common scam many people are falling for. You decide to sell something, and find an eager buyer. Usually, but not always, the buyer lives a great distance from you. The price is agreed upon and they send you a check. After the check is sent they contact you and say that they or their accountant, or someone else made the check out for too much… perhaps hundreds or thousands of dollars more than the agreed price. The scammer then asks you to send back the overpayment.
