The Chamber will testify tomorrow in support of a waiver for the Point Loma Treatment Facility, which would allow the plant to continue its current wastewater treatment process and avoid significantly increased water rates for businesses and residents.

The Point Loma Treatment Facility processes approximately 175 million gallons of wastewater per day, generated by more than 2.2 million residents. Currently, wastewater at the facility is cleaned to the advanced primary level and pumped into the ocean outfall, which is one of the longest and deepest in the world. Read more

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers programs for businesses including financial and federal contract procurement assistance, management assistance, and specialized outreach to women, minorities and armed forces veterans. The SBA also provides loans to victims of natural disasters and specialized advice and assistance in international trade.
